Ohh watching that just brought up all of the old feelings I had about Drexler at the time
I couldn’t believe he wore Houston’s jacket. What a slap in the face. It is hard for me that after everything he did here and all the love this City had for him he wore the Houston Jacket. And I don’t care that he was playing for Houston at the time. Barkley still wore the Philly jacket, one of a couple things I really respect him for.
This is what Lucas would do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0aPkIE2qK0

My real beef was with the league...
…as I recall, likely because of time constraints, players were forced to choose one team to represent, and that’s not always very fair. One of the best examples would be that of Wilt Chamberlain: should he have been represented as the supremely talented record-breaker he was w/ the Philadelphia Warriors, the champion (and assist king!) he became with the 76ers, or as a key member of the incredibly dominant ’72 Lakers?
Given Clyde’s deep ties to the city of Houston (hometown hero, legend w/ the Cougars’ Phi Slamma Jamma, champ w/ the Rockets), I didn’t take much, if any, offense at his choice of the Rockets logo at that ceremony. When Clyde won his ring in ’95, it was like a surrogate championship celebration for me (and probably for a good many other Blazers fans).
