we're 9th in points per possession

and we’ve played mostly excellent defensive teams.

Its been bad tonight- but our offense has been solid for the most part this year.

defense… not so much.

we are 9th in the NBA in points per possession.

Its a fact.

It may not be pretty, but Portland’s offense has been pretty good. Our scores are often lower because we play at a slow pace.

Man, when you look at Jefferson next to LMA

You realize how much bulk LMA still needs to put on

by diskord on Nov 8, 2008 8:45 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

LMA is pretty scrawny. The commentariat always talks about how "buff" he is, but I don't see it.

Part of it is that he doesn’t play low/tough so that probably colors my view of him a bit though.

LMA is never going to have a body like Jefferson's

That’s just a fact. He will always be more of an outside player.

It’s true, though, that he does need to get stronger around the basket and take physical play better.

That was a botched R by Sergio that last sequence, but you can't hold the guards accountable for that stuff. LMA is bad and Frye is a catastrophe.

Put in Greg to just stand under the basket with his arms up :)

Or risk Joel fouls out. Whatever. We need inside D!

this is a matchup where we really do need Joel

If this game ends with Joel on the bench and with fewer than 6 fouls, I’ll question Nate’s judgment.

That's because LaMartdridge gets to play WITH (not AS) a center.

The difference between the halves was Przy.

Love LMAs second half game

He had a better statistical game than against Houston. Impressive.

Roy, 24pts, 9asst, 5reb. Way to come back to us!

Rudy 11pts, 2asst, 4reb.

Sergio, 2pts, 5asst, 2to. Not bad. Blake played too many minutes tonight. Far too many.
