I'd have to agree...

Besides leaving Lebron in Cleveland I don’t have any problems with Boozer. And how can you not love Milsap? Guy hustles and plays D. Doubt they would ever let him go, being the type of player he is and that he shares the same alma mater as Malone. I’ve secretly wished for him since his debut. Overachiever who always seems to kill the Blazers.

Onto AK47. First he has the coolest wife in the world, gotta hate him for that. Beezies don’t be giving out free passes like that all the time. Second his stupid haircut. Third they still ran plays for him last year, z-bo could have guarded this guy. I honestly don’t know how Mr. Sloan hasn’t beaten out back with a hose. Tell him to leave us alone and go play for CKSV Moscow.

Yeah, Millsap is a fave

A friend of mine got so tired of hearing me rant about the Blazers needing someone like Millsap or Maxiell that he dubbed these types of players “Maxsaps.”

Actually, KP acquired a Maxsap this season—Ike Diogu—but he’s been a disappointment so far. Maybe the problem is that his name doesn’t start with an “M” and have one “L” too many. Then again, the Rockets are loaded with Maxsaps (Scola, Landry, Battier, etc), and none of them fit that criterion.

IDK none of them really

The blazers are far and away my favorite team, and have been as long as I can remember. However, the Jazz might come in as my second favorite team and while I don’t enjoy losing to them, I do enjoy watching them be successful.

Gotta be Jerry Sloan

He is a brilliant b’ball strategist but truth be known he is also a first degree butthead. Authoritarian and intemperate, disliked but nevertheless respected by his players.

We cannot put up with this flagrant lack of accountability anymore.

by MT Suit on Nov 5, 2008 11:45 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Agreed....

I would have said JohnKarl StocktonMalone (they are one big bag of evil imo) or Hornacek, but I can only choose from THIS roster so it has to be Sloan. He has embodied all that is boring and mundane about the NBA. Sure he has a good head for B-ball, but the memories of him complaining every call that went against his team as he trolled up and down the sidelines against the Blazers is indelibly etched into the hateful lobe of my brain. As such, any incarnation of an NBA team with Sloan at the helm will remain to make me sick to my stomach.</p%Pr

I loved Hornacek!

Man was he awesome. In junior high I even imitated his little forehead wipe when I shot free throws.

exactly

Great coach, but he’s a bully and he’s a whiner. He’s responsible for all the thuggish Jazz players over the years. I dislike some of their players, but I despise the source of the evil, Mr. Jerry Sloan.
PS – I’d love him if he were the Blazer coach.

Without question Sloan. One of those guys you’d never want to meet in a dark alley. The embodiment of pure evil…

by Knobby on Nov 5, 2008 12:27 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

How can you not despise Carlos Boozer?

Not only is he a Dukie, but he is clearly the second-coming of Karl Malone, probably the worst person ever to put on an NBA uniform. I can’t wait for the fallout among Jazz fans after he bounces town.

"For the past two seasons it's been like, 'They're young, they're going to need some time,"' Roy said. "It doesn't feel like that this season."

Sorry, love the guy.

He’s no where near as mean as Mail-Man was. Malone played angry.

Boozer

I don’t like his face…. or his elbows… or anything.

Karl Malone is the worst, though.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Cardinals' middle relief corps.

I'm pissed at Boozer

for his near rip off the head manuever on Shavlik during the preseason….although as his chiro it was a move for my job security

but also i think he bailed early on cleveland for $ only, and was a bit of a cry baby about not getting picked high enough in the draft

Was it this one?

When asked about his thoughts during the Olympic games about playing against Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, Rudy responded "My first thought was respect. My second thought was to kick their ass".

Man I love him.

This is why you need "Maxsaps" on your team

Ideally, 3 or 4 of ‘em. And no, one Greg Oden isn’t enough. Gotta have those bruiser forwards off the bench. (“Boozer” even SOUNDS like “bruiser.”)

I HATE EM ALL!!!

From Ostertag kicking the ball into the stands at the Rose Garden, to Karl Malone putting a cheap shot on Brian Grant twice in one series, to Korver’s pretty boy look, to AK47’s horrible hair, to Derron Williams face, to Boozer’s ugly tattoos, I hate everything about the Jazz, the past, the present, and the future!

by BlazerFan88 on Nov 5, 2008 12:42 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

I voted Harpring...

Mainly because he’s the unskilled thug that many NBA teams seem to covet. Play physical, (dirty), take the other team out of their game by being a butthole. Bruce Bowen, Najera, Madsen, Rodman, the list is long and not very distinguished.

Boozer is the guy

I don’t care that he’s reputedly a great guy off the court. Come on: he’s the spitting image of “Bluto” (in the Popeye cartoons). Of course, I’d love to have him on the Blazers.

P.S. Maybe one of you photoshop wizards could create a side-by-side image of Boozer & Bluto…

Other: Jerry Sloan

They have a great team. Sloan (and Van Lier) were hatchet men when they played, and Sloan is a hatchet man now that he’s a coach. I haven’t heard Norm do a Bulls game, but I imagine he’s a hatchet man as a broadcaster. – Elgin.

Harpring.

Can’t stand him.

He is the epitome of a Jazz player, cut from the same mold as Malone, Stockton, Hornicek, etc. The guy has a knack for being involved in the plays that make you throw your remote across the room, and definitely serves it up on ice to the Blazers.

Guy always seems to make big shots, too.

I voted Millsap

not because I hate him, but because he always seems to outdo himself when he plays us. I haven’t looked back at stats so maybe it is my imagination, but it just seems he always makes us look small and slow and stupid.
