Today's Poll
Go vote for real. Or don't. I just thought I'd remind you that the option to vote is on the table today, in case you've been awake for 72 hours playing with the trade machine, trying desperately, somehow, someway, to land a point guard, and forgot that today was Election Day. Anyway...
Be sure to vote in our poll and explain your thoughts in the comments. For the sake of the poll, pretend that all 15 Blazers are eligible to be President (we won't hold their age and/or nationality against them... this is an inclusive site).

OT: On the topic of old white men...
Why do we see so many Brooks Brothers ads on this site? I really do like their clothes, and clicked one ad to see what their sweaters were like this fall. But I’ve also seen some of their ads on webcomics and other younger sites. Isn’t it a little strange to see that?
Channing is the man(-ning?)
Vote for Frye, he’s a smart guy…
Jaws were hitting the floor as Greg repeatedly attempted to tear the rim off the backboard...
I voted B-Roy
but Greg is the only one that meets the age requirement.
And in the interest of finding a dark horse unknown, Shavlik for VP!
Shavlik would be Greg's Palin
He would appeal to the base. They gotta vet him properly, though. His foreign policy credentials might not be as strong as Palin’s. She can see Russia from her house. Shavlik can only see Mt. Hood.
We cannot put up with this flagrant lack of accountability anymore.
I'm trying to land Raymond Felton here because........
He’s KILLIN me right now on my fantasy team and I think its because hes on the Bobcats and not the Blazers and also (from being in a league of Blazer fans) I didn’t get any Blazers on my team which is sad! (Oden got drafted with the 6th overall pick in my league, you can guess how that has helped out that not-so-smart guy so far)
6th overall?
I’m in a league of Blazer fans and got him in the 6th round
Brandon
cool under pressure and unflappable. Two very good qualities to have in a Pres.
Rule #1 of nitpicking is to get it right.
Exactly my thoughts
very consistent, high (BB)IQ, not flashy. By not flashy, I mean, a guy like Lebron who craves the spotlight wouldn’t be a good president because if you’re doing your job it shouldn’t be newsworthy. And I’d be suspicious of anyone who wants to be president for the attention.
WWKPD?
Ambassador to the Miami Heat
Channing
Seems like the smartest (general knowledge) one out there (nothing against the other Blazers) and has a lot of interests outside of basketball. Also is the only Blazer I’ve heard who consistently and consciously avoids using the Sports Cliché™. Not to mention he has one of the best senses of humor on the team.
+1
Couldn’t have said it any better
When asked about his thoughts during the Olympic games about playing against Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, Rudy responded "My first thought was respect. My second thought was to kick their ass".
Man I love him.
Oh, and he is just pouring with charm

Roy/Frye '12
Roy for the unflappable leadership, Frye for the goofy/gaffy/entertaining VP
Blazer's fan since '84, Currently exiled in San Antonio
↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A
Raef or Roy
Aren’t they the only two with a college degree? Maybe Joel, but I don’t want to look it up. Batum would have to be the worst. A French guy would surrender to Canada.

Thanks
I forgot about Blake and wasn’t sure about Frye. That explains the difference in grammar on his blog compared to Oden’s.

Travis Outlaw? Really? awww schucks, lets go catfishin.
I voted Bayless just for the intimidation factor.
Afew years ago, a broadcaster once said Pryzbilla's name is "Polish for 'personal foul.'" Ouch.
+1 to trying to be fair
and using alphabetical ordering
-1,000,000 for not utilizing the TIH-approved method to do said ordering.
He who laughs last thinks slowest.
Shavlik
He went to Duke. That makes him smart.
I think everyone STILL calls those
Something dirty

Gracias

I once posted some ‘nice’ pics of ms. harlow on here but a few people got their panties in a bunch so I decided to pull them…. I should have just posted pics of her in ‘something dirty’ apparently thats okay.
hmmm
You think I know the first thing about how hard your life has been, how you feel, who you are, because I read Oliver Twist? Does that encapsulate you? Personally... I don't give a $hit about all that, because you know what, I can't learn anything from you, I can't read in some fukin' book. Unless you want to talk about you, who you are. Then I'm fascinated. I'm in. But you don't want to do that do you sport? You're terrified of what you might say. Your move, chief.

I voted Joel...
for his unflashy yet reliable ways and propensity to defend himself…
but on second thought, I like Frye. Smart, charismatic, honest, thoughtful, and also has the propensity to defend himself.

Joel got my vote
I voted for Joel because of his strength of character. Joel has never backed down to anyone, is tough as nails and because he survived four years in a Milwaukee penal complex subsisting on curds and whey and dried venison hooves.
Channing by a landslide
I like roy, but being leader on the baketball court does not qualitfy him to be a leader in the potical court. I was put off that he is chossing not to vote. One, who abstains from making a choice, is not who I want as President (thought that would be preferable to always making a poor choice).
However, Channing has clearly demonstrated that he is a thinker and deliberates upon his decisions. Those are good qualities for a president. The fact that he is also quite affable doesn’t hurt either. Nate would make a great VP.
Roy voted
Just FYI, he changed his mind

Rudy
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing his face or listening to his voice. I understand the Frye love too.
So very true :)

Raef
If there is anyone that can make tons of money without doing anything, Raef is our man

ya exactly
we really need a pres that can make a lot of money doing nothing and all the other players are grossly underpaid so it has to be raef.
This was exactly my reasoning
I was tempted to vote for Frye because he’s the only Blazer who has the veritable Buffet of Goodness going fo him and I’m sure there’s a dish of political savvy offered in the buffet.
But I went with Raef because all the others are too busy working on their games.

Roy
Without getting too much into politics, Roy’s intellect and saavy remind me of the man who’s probably going to win today.

Batum
Just because a French president would be a fun change of pace.
Vive la République!
President Buck Williams has a nice ring to it
yeah I know he isn’t a current Blazer

No Blake love, I guess
The guy is a thinker, steady, hard worker, nothing spectacular. I’d rather someone like him. He does what has to be done, but isn’t trying to make things happen that don’t need to happen.
The most amazing thing about my amazing ego is I have amazingly little about which to be egotistical.
The pick and roll this year will emphasize "roll" followed by "dunk", followed by the wailings and lamentations of your women.
!!
This is a two horse race. I voted Brandon because he has a degree, but in retrospect I should have picked Channing….

Sergio
Clearly Sergio logged on and voted for himself. How else would he have a vote?
No Vote For Brandon
Brandon gets the most votes, but he doesn’t vote— pretty lame. Brandon, Blake and Ike show a lack of citizenship and character.
Not Brandon for President
The future Pres doesn’t decide at a late date to vote.
I wish KP was an option... hands down he would win my vote.
Come on, he’d be Pritch-slapping the nations all around the world, give him a couple years the economy would be recovered, and all our problems would be perfect. He brilliance and a half.
