Dunk Contest Ideas

Alright I created this post more as a way to try and suggest dunk ideas for the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. While I know it is a long way away, and we don't even know if any of our players will be invited, these things can take a bit of time to learn, so there is really no hurt in coming up with these ideas early. Plus just talking about what some of our players can do when dunking might raise their profile a bit as we know Travis, despite his high flying acrobatics, never was a part of the dunk contest, plus just generally it might be a bit of fun for our rookies to participate in. And some cool dunks would definitely raise our national profile.

So yea come up with ideas and rec the ones you like...

Run up from the side of the hoop (parallel to the baseline) take the ball as if going for a dunk, and then float the ball across the rim and dunk the ball behind the head on the other side of the rim for a self made alley-oop.

Jaws were hitting the floor as Greg repeatedly attempted to tear the rim off the backboard...

I got one

Have a guy throw the ball as hard as he can at the head of Rick Fox, then have the dunker grab it in the air and dunk the ball hard through the net on top of Rick Fox’s head.

I don't even know if this is physically possible, but Nick's got the longest arms on the team

Stand directly under the hoop palming two basketballs. Go straight up from standing and dunk both balls, one on either side of the rim.

Two dunks

1- Have Rudy drive by K*be. Go up with a lefty dunk and at the same time catch a lob from Sergio with the right (double slamma jamma). All over the top of Howard…..and call a flagrant on Rick Fox.

2- Have Rudy jump through a paper sign with Howard’s superman pose on it….and call a flagrant on Rick Fox.
