Rudy Second in ROY Behind only Rose
Rudy just needs to get more time and opportunity and he could end up with the rookie of the year. Batum 12th, Oden 17, Bayless 18th.

Rose is looking solid...
If Rose continues to play at such a high level and get as many minutes as Chitown is giving him, I think Rudy has only a slim chance. I am lovin that Boom Boom has risen so quickly.

I actually anticipate Rudy’s numbers getting better…Rose I haven’t caught much of but his stats are nice, hard to believe he’s getting nearly 5 boards a game.
The real surprise on that list would have to be Thompson at 3, just thinking about how easily he got dominated in the pre-season games kind of makes you think it’s probably a bit of a fluke but he could very well turn out to be a nice player.
Rudy deserves more press, sucks for him that he’s stuck on the West Coast so he doesn’t get the play in the media that the others do. That crazy alley-oop in the Phoenix game was no where to be seen on any “top play” lists

ROYs
We can’t forget that ROYs are usually given to good players on bad teams who can fill up the stat sheet. Even if Rudy is the “best” rookie, there will be a chance he doesn’t get the ROY award because he is not the focal point of the team or will not get as many minutes as other ROY contenders. Rudy is all about the team anyways rather than personal accolades it seems.

I don't think Rose will be able to continue playing as well as he has in the first 3 games
Before the season started, I expected the best rookies to be (in no particular order) Oden, Rudy, Beasley, Love, and Marc Gasol. I still think that those 5 will be the best rookies. Oden is hurt, but Rudy, Beasley, and Love are all ranked in the top 5, and Marc Gasol just lead his team to victory with a 27 point, 16 rebound performance.
Rose is playing well so far, but he wasn’t as that good in preseason/summer league and his stats last year weren’t nearly as impressive as the numbers put up by Love and Beasley. I think he just had a few good games to start the season, and that his stats will drop a bit as he continues playing.

I'm all about the Rudy for ROY campaign
When asked about his thoughts during the Olympic games about playing against Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, Rudy responded "My first thought was respect. My second thought was to kick their ass".
Man I love him.
