Its sad u when u hear about places u lived close to and places u have been to get attacked. So glad i moved to America…but i still have pride in both USA and India and hope these attacks over pathetic religious reasons subside. and they had the old Greg Oden commercial for ESPN the Magazine where he asks “who says big men can’t sell product?”
Boy he looked trim and seemed much happier than he has lately. I know the commercial was taped before the injury, but I just wonder if he dropped a few more lb’s, could he regain some of his quickness and then, in turn, become the happy Greg we all want him to be.

it makes sense of coure. The thing is, divisions in the NBA mean almost nothing. We play 2/3 of the teams in the other two divisions in our conference the same number of times (4) that we play our divisional team. Winning the division only guarantees you top 4 seeding, which is pretty much a moot point anyway, and it doesn’t even guarantee home court.
honestly, the NBA should either make divisions meaningful by upping the number of divisional games, or just get rid of them altogether and just have the two conferences.
Rule #1 of nitpicking is to get it right.

but he did say specifically that he didnt think it was about co existing, i think its more or less about what we have heard since he wrote the article, just go out and do your thing, stop worrying about the mental noise so -to-say. especially GO, he just needs to rebound, and blocks. Is tonight the night?
So far this season it seems everyone (except for Roy and Thrilla) has been off a little bit here and there, especailly when were talking about LaMarcus’ and Channing’s wide open jumpers. I have a good feeling that Aldridge will finally go off for more than a quarter tonight and i’m hoping that Channing will finally find out how to put the ball in the hoop like he did last april. Wade will keep it close enough that our starters get their minutes, but I feel like Portland will have the upper hand all night, even if its only a slight one. We are just too deep, and coming off a close game in the Garden like that, I see our Blazers playing with a lot more poise and sensibility tonight down the stretch. I don’t see Miami coming out and walking all over us, but nor do I see us doing that to them. Even if Miami gains a little bit of an edge, it won’t last long. The RG was way too tense on wednesday, so I look for the crowd to be extra rowdy tonight. The Heat won’t play great defense, but they will hit buckets to keep it close enough. Out interior presence is too much for Wade to overcome alone. Assuming the open shots will fall tonight, Rip City should win a nice, hard fought game.

Greg, it’s not that hard to use a pivot. I had some reliable post moves when I was 20.
Oden just needs to think 2 dribbles or less
He’s trying to just back the guy into a dunk….that’s not gonna in the NBA…maybe in college. Oden needs to figure out how to make a good quick move in 2 dribbles. If he needs more than 2, it just means he didn’t get a good position to begin with.

What would the opinion of Rudy be right now
If he was only playing with Blake and Roy, and no Sergio?
We see a portion of his game when Sergio is on the court that is missing when he’s off.
the upshot may be
that Sergio and Rudy have played together a lot in the past. I hope and expect that Rudy will develop that kind of chemistry w/the other Blazer guards once they all get to know each others’ game and timing over the next few months. (That’s not a knock on Sergio)
