We are not taking enough advantage of our 3 point shooters.

Yesterday LMA had a great day, but I want to see more passing from him to the open man in the perimeter. Almost all the times when he starts a post move tries to shoot(even when it is contested), when it would be much better (IMHO) to pass the ball to an open man (for a higher % shot). Oden seems to pass more. I don't know if has anything to do with the confidence with his post moves but he passes out the ball more.

What do u think?

see the fan post below yours. :)

and just a kinda friendly reminder, (don’t know if you know or not)…

but these short posts…really should be stuck in the fanshot part of the site….they clutter up the fan post portion that is kinda reserved for thought out stuff, and not for questions…

the fanshot part is for short stuff and links….and short but sweet questions…..

kinda a site rule…sort of.

but love your comments and posts thus far ;)

:)

same thing,…just diffrent format, and diffrent locations…the fan posts ….were designated by the site administrator to be for ….longer essays and what not, …..the fan shots were designated to be for short “links (to videos/other articles/other sites)” “example” or a fanshot.

and an example of what a fanPOST is suppose to be.

again, I’m not tryin to act like I know anything or anything…I just thought you might wanna know if you’re gonna kick it for a while. :)

really? I ddin't know the fanshots were for questions

You may not be snobby, but that sounds really snobby. I wish more people would be asking questions in here (me included). Seems to create better discussion. So what if the emphasis is on the comments rather than the post. And, the fact is that a fanshot simply won’t get any attention. For whatever reason, they aren’t read and commented on like the fanposts.

its becouse of oden and lma being able tu be effective down low

that weve been enjoying so many open looks. we need aldridge tu be effective, and sometimes even tu force things. it helps in the long run tu keep the three open.

and by the way, this is fine as a fan post, people who dont like wut you have tu say will tell u tu make it a fanshot.

We're shooting a lot of threes

and we’re making a lot of them. What’s the problem?

If I could take advantage of any of our 3 point shooters it would probably be Rudy.

I’m not sure what I’d do to him though. It might be fun to make him pretend to be Coco from Fame, when she meets that sleazy photographer. I’d play the role of the sleazy photographer.

If LMA doesn’t score there, you don’t get open looks. If he continues to pass off, the defender on the three will never double him. It’s when he gets double by someone on the perimeter that the three opens up. Most of the time he gets doubled he kicks it right out. Still, if he doesn’t prove that he should be doubled, the three shot’s not going to be open. The three is especially prone to a huge decline in percentage when defenders are near.

Also, the three is never higher percentage shot than LMA single covered and within 10 ft of the hoop (unless he’s really, really slumping). The three may be more fun, but it won’t be there unless LMA does his work.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
