It's a beautiful day

I get the Comcast channel here in Bend and I get my first “first”.

I actually would rather have Jazz win

Jazz are going to make the playoffs one way or another. I’d like to see the Spurs down and out so we can take their playoff spot.

No problem

of course I don’t officially recommend you actually watch the game on that link because that would be illegal. But I thought I’d point it out as academically interesting that the Blazers are available online.

so i suggest anyone wanting to watch online use the http://atdhe.net webpage and then click on the blazers game from there which will open up a separate window

acquits himself of the last few games. I’m not worried about him, but just wanting him to get it going.

I'm kinda worried

I know he’ll get back to his groove at some point this season, but I expected him to benefit from Oden’s presence (no more double, ya?)

by Eventine on Nov 21, 2008 6:35 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

He worked on his post-up game

and now he’s more comfortable doing that. Now they’re asking him to drift back out to the perimeter…just an adjustment period, that’s all.

I don't understand why they're asking him to do that, though

Shaq and Amar’e seem to complement each other well in the paint. So did Duncan and Robinson. Why can’t Oden and Aldridge?

good move for the knicks

bad for the clips. While Randolph is a dominant player, They already have Kaman and Camby down low.

Get well #8

by shua on Nov 21, 2008 6:34 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah but Camby/Kaman cannot start together

that would be a pretty low post offense with them together

by cbdolphin on Nov 21, 2008 6:35 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Camby

Can come off the bench. ZBo should start.

but doesn't camby have a huge contract?

We all know how bad Randolphs contract is and combinded with whatever Kamans contract is (it can’t be small) they are pouring alot of money into a mediocre front court imo

I think they got better

but between Camby/Kaman/Zach they are way overpaying for their front court

by cbdolphin on Nov 21, 2008 6:41 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

We're paying $30 million/year

for two guys who don’t play at all…RLEC and Francis. The good news is that it comes off the books at the end of the year, unlike the Clippers. I think they do want to win finally.

Personally I’m holding opinion until I see how the west coast teams mesh for a month. The Clips could be great… or the Titanic.

But if you want a ring, you aren’t going to leave your team which is in better position and will offer the same amount of salary just for the media attention.

As far as I’m concerned NYC blew their pick by picking Danny Boy.

Some people went into the sport for money over titles.

bummer

none of last year’s playoff teams appear to have dropped off much. Once the Spurs get their studs back, there will be 9 really good teams out west (and maybe 10 if Crawford thrives in Nellieball). The Blazers are not a lock for the playoffs.

by Timmay! on Nov 21, 2008 7:03 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

yeah but I don't think 4 teams from the SW Div will make the play offs

SA or the Mav’s will be out, then that leaves our division with Jazz/Blaz/Nugs to make the playoffs then Lakers and Phoenix from the Pacific division with GS being the only threat and I don’t think they are that big of a threat….

by cbdolphin on Nov 21, 2008 7:05 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

DAL and SA have been written off many times...

… they can either gel and improve, or make a big trade like Dallas, GSW, and LAC have (and LAL last year).

It’s so hard to predict…

not by a long shot

its very very possible the same 8 teams that made the playoffs in the west last year could do it again this year.
