A gift for all Rudy fans, enjoy it!

It´s a video in Spanish from canal+, but it´s very good and there are a lot of english so i dont think you cant understand.

http://www.plus.es/esp/informe_robinson/t2p3/_esp_//index.html?id=20081118pluutmdep_5.Ves

It shows the beginning of Rudy´s life in Portland. I love it when he is seeing some houses and says: Oh my god! (Synonymous of "Joder!" in spanish) xD It is necessary to bear in mind that Rudy is just 23.

Also, it shows Sergio´s house

It's great!

I only wish we could somehow get English subtitles, or an English transcript of the audio.

awesome

Gotta love the Oregon track shirt when he left his house…

and what was he saying to his golden retriever? Seems like they have a close relationship.

by Bust a Bucket on Nov 21, 2008 4:32 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

He says...

Rudy said that when he was sad, he always see his playful dog and sometimes he was changing him very much be nice or badly.

Do you understand? (my english is very poor sorry)

by makelele on Nov 21, 2008 4:40 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

yeah, I think I understand what you said.

When Rudy is sad, he can go see his dog and become happy again?

That was a great scene with Rudy down on the floor nuzzling up to the soft fur of his dog. Very emotional scene.

Thats what im trying to say

What? the fact that Rudy could save the entire world from zombies if he felt like it? I guess… the only difference is that it would only take him a few minutes…

........... and he's a golden retriever guy, which cements his place in my heart.

It’s pretty clear after watching this that there is NO WAY Sergio is going anywhere by trade this year.

Great stuff

Sad that he had to leave his behind. Nice Oregon shirt. Nice mom. The overview of Portland welcoming Rudy for the Spanish viewers was funny.

And his house looks a bit bigger than Sergio’s ;-)

Way to hold your tongue

Almart 1 posted this in the fanshots a couple of days ago. It’s respectable that you didn’t blow your own whistle, but I will for you. I guess people just need to check the fanshots more often. And you call yourself B-edgers.

At least you’re not reposting stuff that Timbo puts up. Then we might have problems.

Rudy

Great person on & off the court. Hopefully his success here draws attraction as a “Spurs Northwest”. We all know how Sergio brought in Rudy & how much KP likes his Eurostash’s.

Acquire Serge Ibaka.

Dejas muchas cosas alli, y a mucha gente

Espero a mi madre!

Me gusta!

Despues el jefe

A mi tambien!

Ya has aterrizao!

Me llamo David.

Bienvenido Rudy!

Vamos Rudy, vamos!

Bienvenido a Portland Rudy!

Vamos Blazers!

Viva Rudy GO!

Puedas casarte aqui y empezar a formar tu familia

Bienvenidos a Portland

La conexion espanola! Rudy y Sergio!

ir a tomarme algo, ir a comer fuera, a cenar fuera

English translation for part of it...

(Narrator)
At the Beijing Games, there were many images that have been made for history. For example, the image of the inventive dunk Rudy Fernandez did before Dwight Howard, perhaps the most powerful center of the entire NBA.

(Sports Announcer)
Fernandez, drives inside…
Oh! What a slam!

(Fans)
The Olympics? Of course I seen that! I screamed! I cheered against the US at that time…
Unbelievable!
That’s the first time I seen him
It has been salivating
Oh my God!

(Rudy)
And I thought at the time … “to look,
do whatever you can do to avoid a cap.”
“And I was 80% sure.”

I suppose Dwight Howard said: “You’re going to the NBA, no? Therefore, we’ll see each other on another occasion.”

(Narrator)
In Portland, they already knew that Rudy Fernandez was not a rookie anymore… That is why they welcomed a star in the world of basketball.
And us? Well, we are his past…

(Rudy)
Always as a child, you dream about being in the NBA, no?
And I am lucky enough to go into that story and I’m very happy
I have fears that … am I going to fit in the league? am I going to fit into the team? …

(Narrator)
Some fears and nerves are kept inside him, because Rudy is a quiet type.
Besides for the Fernandez family, this is not a new adventure. They lived it already when the sister of Rudy, Martha, went to play basketball in Los Angeles.

(Rudy’s mom)
Looks like you’re going to live your dreams out!

(Narrator)
While it is always something special

(Rudy)
I leave a lot of things back there, and many people.
Also, my dog Max, the truth is that I am going to miss her.
Maybe it is sad and such, I always looked to her and she was playful.
And sometimes it would change you a lot, good or bad.

(Rudy)
As a child, you look always to these players, you have in the poster.
And now to be able to play against them, well to me, it is a dream.

(Narrator)
A dream that began from very little, yes, after a wave in another sport.

When he was 7 years old, in Mallorca he was not able to play in the basketball league until he was 9 years.
In Mallorca if you were 7, you could play soccer. Therefore, he left to play with the 7 year olds.
And he played two years, the second year he remained with Pichichi and for two years, they remained champions.
Then after the second year, they wanted him to sign to Real Mallorca.

But with a father, mother and sister who were basketball players,
he had a clear choice, and soon began to reconsider.
Rudy had fulfilled challenges and now finally he reached for his ultimate desire, the NBA.

(Rudy)
It is certainly a dream, or was “as a child, I sounded this and I have come to this, no?”

(Narrator)
Now, it has gone well.
