Gameday Open Thread: Bulls vs. Blazers

Here we go...a rare home game!  I'm pretty sure the Blazers play 63 on the road and 18 at home this season plus one game in the depths of Hades against supernatural opponents of the underworld.  So enjoy this one!

Leave your comments before and during the game here.  No profanity, no pictures or graphics save Timbo's boxscore, turn off the bells and whistles if your computer runs slow.

BOO!

ya! Go Balzers!!

Wait, who are the Balzers????

Every child must be encouraged to get as much education as he has the ability to take. We want this not only for his sake-but for the nation's sake. Nothing matters more to the future of our country: not military preparations-for armed might is worthless if we lack the brain power to build a world of peace; not our productive economy-for we cannot sustain growth without trained manpower; not our democratic system of government-for freedom is fragile if citizens are ignorant.

was Rudy in a funk last night?

Missed that. Maybe I spose after he got T’d for calling the ref a jabrone.

I did not notice Rudy's mini funk either...

the funk that I am hoping goes away is LMA’s MegaFunk! Man it is depressing watching him lately.

I hope it isn’t bothering him.

Wish I was going to the game..

I would if I had tickets. I suppose I could find one of those people out front “looking” for tickets.. :)

by TheWorkz on Nov 19, 2008 5:28 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Check Stub-Hub.

They’ve treated me right and you can often get tickets for less than face value.

by torsoheap on Nov 19, 2008 5:36 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Nice Link!

Thanks for the link, but they are sold out for tonight’s game.. Maybe I’ll pick up some tix for Monday. :)

by TheWorkz on Nov 19, 2008 5:38 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Yeah,

I would’ve been surprised if you could get same day tickets, but it’s worth checking out two or three weeks in advance.

by torsoheap on Nov 19, 2008 5:48 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

Ya, im seeing that...

And the prices for a lot of them are very good and I love the organization instead of having to filter through craigslist postings, or type in a freaking Captcha every time on blazers.com ticket search.

by TheWorkz on Nov 19, 2008 5:56 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

You do need

to pay a 10% commission charge to Stub-Hub along with a FedEx shipping charge, but you should still get a good deal.

They also make it easy to see exactly where your seats would be when you search for them.

Predictions

1. LMA bounces back in a huge way tonight.

2. Bulls fans will still insist afterwards that they are better off with Tyus Thomas.

not expecting much from oden this game

rookies are rarely consistent, so i prefer to have low expectations, as long as he tries his best defensively i will be happy.

I'm saying 14-11 from Greg tonight.

Chicago has a pretty bad front line. He could rack up four or five blocks if he is moving like he was vs. New Orleans.

It’ll be a fun game.

And for some of us, the internet is a source of revenue, or keeps us in contact with revenue sources (agents, producers, freelance clients) while cable is solely entertainment.

my old man refused to get cable because of a grudge he had with the cable company…Until i moved out of the house when i was 18. It’s probably why i have more cable channels now than i need.

anybody have any theories

on why Bayless all of a sudden got some minutes last night?

and if he’ll get them tonight?

he didn’t look too good out there… a little afraid of making a mistake, perhaps.

by Yawnie on Nov 19, 2008 6:33 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I think we were trying to go small to match the Warriors

plus he can play defense. Doesn’t make sense that he would get a couple minutes really, but I’m glad he did.

People at BlogaBull think there is nobody on our team that can guard D. Rose. I’d like to see Bayless given a try, but doubt that’ll happen. Maybe last night was a warmup for tonight.

Sergio actually looked pretty good on D last night, but maybe it was just that Miles or whoever is no good.

by Bust a Bucket on Nov 19, 2008 6:34 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

i think the key to good offensive players

is not always a defensive stopper, its to force the offensive player to take shots they are not comfortable with, since most NBA shooters will keep shooting regardless

by Yawnie on Nov 19, 2008 6:35 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

True

and I don’t really care if Rose has a good/great game if we shut down the other guys.

We let D. Howard and D. Wade put up huge numbers on us, but we won both games.

I don’t think the BlogaBullers realize it takes more than one good player to beat the Blazers.

Don’t favor Rose and allow Gordon to free up. Just play sound D, let Rose get his points, and win by 15 points. Easy enough, right?

by Bust a Bucket on Nov 19, 2008 6:38 PM PST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

ur exactly right

also, how are the bulls going to defend all the blazers weapons? im totally confident if we play our game we will beat the bulls convincingly
