Blazer songs.
Is anyone out there interested in writing, performing and recording a few songs about the Blazers? I don't write music but do play the drums. I think it would be awesome if we could get some musicians together and write a couple songs. Maybe we could practice and record them in time for our "Playoff Run?"
If anyone out there is a good video person we could all wear Blazer gear and shoot a video too.
We would need at least a guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals. Anything else would be fine too but those are the bare mininums.
Just some thoughts....bored at work!
Lemme know.

OT: I hate the Blazer/Comcast song commercials
especially the country one. Since when is Portland a country music town?

since never... it's why most people that live in the "country" part of Oregon
have a palpable disdain for Portlanders and maintain that real Oregonians dont live in Portland.

Not quite
Having grown up in Grants Pass and lived much of my adult life in Medford I can speak to this a little. I most of them resent Portland and Eugene for the most part because Portland’s politics don’t match the rest of the state for the most part…but the Metro population skews the entire state’s policies. Look at a county by county map during an election and you will see that they are correct for the most part (in a simplistic sort of way….just look at the Red counties versus the Blue and you will see what they mean). Consequently they feel disenfranchised to a certain extent …and felt so for some time. Just an FYI…not a invitation to a big long political discussion.

I got your vocals right here
I have been practicing them for many years now and they are in fone form for this band of yours, perhaps we call yourselves the “wierd andy yank-o-blazers” and just copy popular songs and paste blazer lyrics into them. I am so game!
And yes, just the other night i was VENTING about how much I hate that new comcast theme song, good thing I had my Coors Light to help me get through it…
( just kidding, i hate coors light, original is better, but this is a microbrew town and the winter ales are out!)
but seriously, hit me up if you want a rapper/singer
I come here to meet chicks...

Talk about it at the game
I’ll probably see you tonight at the game Vs bulls. Hunt me down and we can chat about it. Better yet. Bring me a beer and we can discuss….or just cuss about the game.
I now go by RMC Brannon. That's right Rudy Man Crush!
Anyone know the old Blazer Radio Broadcast opening song???
They used to open the Trailblazer radio broadcasts with Bill Schonley with a song that was all trumpets back in the original Rip City days. I’d love to get that song as a ring tone on my phone. Does anyone know the name of it??? Thx!
They crib the old song in the new country one!
I will make a point to update the old song and introduce some new ones. The Gauntlet has been thrown. A friend of mine plays bass in “Doublewide”, the new theme song band. I’m thinking instrumental high energy hip hop would define our team pretty well, but I dig the harmonica playing the old melody-kinda fun! Sophia is right though. The country version appeals to everywhere else in Oregon but Eugene and Portland.
I've always been looking for the same thing.
I don’t have the whole song, but I have that opening trumpet blast.

Here's the instrumental for it
Here’s a beat I did with a Travis Outlaw sample just screwing around one day…Do with it what you will
I have 6-8 lyric rewrites to Classic rock tunes
I post them on the site all the time (much to the annoyance of many, I am sure). You are welcome to them
