I watched highlights of the Twolves game on NBA.com and they didnt't even talk about Oden's impact on the game. They showed Oden's dunk and then showed one of his baby hooks but didn't even mention how pretty it looked. And they showed Jefferson strip Oden and rip the ball away, but didn't even mention how Oden did the same thing to him a minute earlier.
NBA.com didn't even have Oden's dunk in the top 10 plays even though it was better than half the other highlights. And on their Rookie Rankings, while they do give Rudy some notice, Oden isn't even mentioned in top 20. Certainly by next week he will climb up on the Rookie Rankings, but it has to be obvious even by the couple games he's played, that Oden is already one of the most intimidating forces to come along in a long time.
I feel as though these media types have bought into the Sam Bowie comparison so much that now they are having a hard time eating their words.
*Oh and I forgot to mention NBA.com gave stats for top performers in the game, obviously Roy was one of them, the other was Przybilla, 10 pts 8 reb. They didn't bother mentioning Oden even though he put up better numbers than Przybilla in every category*
