Darius Working Out (ESPN)
Darius Miles
"The Celtics had him in camp and released him in late October so he could have a chance at hooking up with another team, although it hasn't happened yet. Miles is said to have conducted two recent workouts for NBA teams, and he told ESPN.com at the start of camp that New Jersey, Dallas, Charlotte and Phoenix had expressed interest in him over the summer.
The 26-year-old has been working out with famed trainer Tim Grover in Chicago. If he signs with an NBA team, he must immediately serve a 10-game suspension for failing a drug test. If he then plays 10 games, he goes back on Portland's salary cap for $9 million this season and next."
ah...the drama continues.

Steve Kerr said no for Phoenix during the summer in an interview with Wheeler

Then Boston said no, although he looked ok for them in pre-season. It’s an uphill battle for Darius at this point. Though there are incentives for other teams to sign him. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-36-21/Math-With-Darius.html

well it was from the espn best unemployed, he was #3
but it is a little unsettling that he got cut from the celtics (who have a great lineup, its not like he was cut from OKC). but nonetheless, it doesnt REALLY matter even if he comes back and plays.

Every team's 13-15 players tend to be a lot more similar
than than 1-4 players. So Boston and OKC aren’t so far apart.

a lot of ex-Blazers on that list....
…as in addition to Miles, it also features Stoudamire, Wells, and Fred Jones.

How could anyone know?
In the last five years, Darius missed half of two seasons, 1/4 of a third, and all of the last two. When he was on the Celtic roster, he admitted his leaping ability had been affected and was hoping to make the team based on his “defense”. How does anyone know what Darius can or can’t do anymore? Sure, when young and healthy he showed promise – but those years are long gone. Whatever Darius does, the bottom line is that his body can’t take the pounding – and that’s the record.
