Learns the X's & O's of the Blazers Offense
In this 4th quarter stretch where the Blazers got some big defensive stops and some big 3-point shots. It was a 10-point swing and the Blazers broke the tie to take the lead for good here. I just like how simple basketball can be, "Reverse the ball." How many times do we as coaches say that, yet how few times do our players actually do that. Watch these 2 key offensive sequences where the Blazers are able to move the ball around and get that open shot,

Great stuff
Ball movement and man movement away from the ball = open shots and easy points. Every time.
A defense simply can’t keep down players this quick and strong if they use their athleticism to get open and keep the ball moving. You can’t keep between your man and the ball if both are moving, even if you are as quick as he is. He knows where he is going and you don’t, so at some point you will guess wrong, and he will be open.
It is about 95% certain, on any one possession, that someone is going to get a decent look if people are moving and the ball is being reversed quickly.
The most amazing thing about my amazing ego is I have amazingly little about which to be egotistical.
The pick and roll this year will emphasize "roll" followed by "dunk", followed by the wailings and lamentations of your women.
By the way, I forgot to say "rec"

Great stuff. This should be a permanent link for us.
Sergio + Rudy = 16
Sergio + Bayless = 16
Batum 8+8=16
yeah good stuff...
I often feel that when we suffer droughts, we stop reversing the ball quickly enough- this looks good.
Great stuff
I’ve recommended to the broadcast team that they should start treating the viewers as more “educated” fans and stop being so simple with basketball terminology. I miss the days of the Snapper and his telestrator pen thing. I’m hoping Barrett and Rice take a cue from you and start teaching fans about how the plays work. Even simple pick and rolls, pops, isos, back door cuts, and all that stuff would be nice.

Thanks for the linky
I read that website from time to time but wouldn’t have caught this piece on the Blazers if you didn’t give the heads up.

That is what I love about this team
Sometimes I think people, myself included, give Nate a bit too much crap about how his O is plain and they run the same sets over and over, but in reality once we learn how do execute those plays at an elite level they will start to work.
Right now we just have such a young team it takes time to work in how to play with each other and how to do it the right way.
The season is here.
Great Stuff
I loved seeing how everything develops and how they break everything down. I agree with amlmart1, We should really consider having this be a permanent link for us or like a every week or every game type thing.
