Sports Illustrated article of "the good old" days
Check this out. It brought some bad memories of just how uncooperative this team was. It pains me to see how much wasted potential we had.
This should make you that much more grateful for having the great team we have today.

Ugh...
…that was not fun. Anyone notice the one negative subject from this article that is still an issue today?
this has been a message from: "The People's Alliance to Keep Comment Boards Sucka Free"
That article is full of funny quotes, which are only funny knowing that these times are in the past
In the final game of the playoffs last season, Blazers fan Katherine Topaz and her boyfriend’s eight-year-old son brandished a TRADE WHITSITT sign. When Topaz refused to put it away, she was ejected from the Rose Garden. Just imagine the outcry in the blogosphere today
Fourth-year swingman Bonzi Wells is an emerging star, but he hasn’t captured the public’s imagination. Not that he minds. “We’re not really going to worry about what the hell [the fans] think about us,” Wells says. “They really don’t matter to us. They can boo us every day, but they’re still going to ask for our autographs if they see us on the street. That’s why they’re fans and we’re NBA players.”
