Preseason Game 2 Open Thread: Warriors vs. Blazers
This will be the first chance many folks have to see this year's version of the Blazers, as the game is definitely on KGW tonight, for sure, yup, positive. What will it look like? Will we see a repeat of last night's uber-smackdown? Will the team come back to earth? Or did they get so far above earth last night that they have no idea where it is anymore?
Feel free to talk about the game right here in the intervening hours and during. Enjoy!

Can't wait!
I’ll be just landing in enemy territory (SF) when the game wraps up.
Hopefully someone will have the score in the terminal.

Nate said the unsigned guys will get more playing time today. This game should be a lot different from last night.

Tatum can dance - but can he play?
I would also like to see a little more Batum, since we won’t see him much beyond the pre-season :)
And of course more Rudy Rudy Rudy (and probably less Roy and Oden).

I think Mike B. said Roy won't play today
That’s big time. I’m more interested in seeing if the guys who were good last night are good tonight.

i’ve had pretty good luck with channelsurfing.net and justin.tv.
channelsurfing tends to have tons of sports (and non-US sports), though i doubt an nba preseason game will be on there.
justin.tv is a lot more hit and miss, but last night i was able to find at least the l*kers / jazz preseason game (seeing the l*kers lose is better than nothing).
anybody have any other ideas?

Yeah, I think tonight will be a good game
But not nearly as crazy as last night. Who knows though?
When asked about his thoughts during the Olympic games about playing against Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, Rudy responded "My first thought was respect. My second thought was to kick their ass".
Man I love him.

I'm so hyped right now it's redonkulous.
When Oden gets into shape, bayless settles down, LMA finds his stroke and Tell starts canning the 3 ball I just don’t know what you do? I think only top tier teams scare me that much because we can have 3 to 4 of our best players have off nights and still have the firepower to compete with all but tier 1 teams. I’m just stunned by what I saw last night. Alot of what stunned me was our bench. I almost didn’t notice Roy’s play (it was superb) or Aldridge it was all about our new guys. Simply can’t wait for tonight and then my next live game on Sunday. Someone get KP a medal!

Blazer Mania
When I woke up this morning, and looked outside, I knew the season I love so much had finally arrived. Its aroma fills the streets, and its palpable on your tongue.
Contagious smiles, people offering grace, a lot of humming and whistling.
The Blazers season is back, and with it an epidemic of mania for the Blazers.
Will we lose even once in Portland this year? Not if I (and you!) can help it.
The order of the seasons are now officially Summer, Blazers pre-season, Blazers regular season, Blazers post-season.

extraneous junk on the side bar and dissallowing cookies
Fanposts/shots take longer ot load if disable cookies and liomit page caching. It is a personal choice on my part as I do not prefer to have web sites leaving permanent files on my computer or logging of my web-browsing experience. I can allow it then evertything goes quickly as it is pre-cached on my hard disk. This approach has served my web-security well in my Windows based PC.
But all of that aside, my comment is really good-god folks 1350 comments over a pre-season game. Somebody call Guinness (World records, not the beer). KP has lit a fire under the fan base which should be the envy of all sports teams. We should garner 5000 posts by opening night at this rate.

82-0, followed by 4-0, 4-0, 4-0, and of course 4-0.
=D I will jump off a bridge after the final game as it would complete my life! LoL
Every child must be encouraged to get as much education as he has the ability to take. We want this not only for his sake-but for the nation's sake. Nothing matters more to the future of our country: not military preparations-for armed might is worthless if we lack the brain power to build a world of peace; not our productive economy-for we cannot sustain growth without trained manpower; not our democratic system of government-for freedom is fragile if citizens are ignorant.

New from Bend
Hey all I’m new here but have been a Blazer fan for 30 plus years….even when they were losing. Many years ago I played in a state-wide Blazers 3 on 3 tournement and made it to the finals in Memorial Coliseum. I got to meet my favorite Blazer of all time there…Bill Schonely. Great fun! So needless to say I’m not only a Blazer fan, but a fan of the game.
Only recieving 13 games on the tube over here this year so you all know my FRUSTRATION with Comcast and that whole fiasco. AAAAAARRRGGGGG!
So I’ll be hoping to find on line broadcasts for the games. I’ve already seen that you all have some links to check out. Thanks for sharing those.
Here’s to an awesome season and the hope of finding some games to watch over here in the high desert.
I think it’s time that Wheels brings “Rip City” to his play-by-plays this year. After all, it’s bigger than the Shonz…it’s Portland.
Go Blazers!

I’m new here, been reading you for quite a long time, I’ve actually been rooting for GS for the last seasons, not that I really cared about the team but the name is similar to a funny word in spanish hehe, so, I think I’m gonna root for the blazers this season, not because 2 spaniards play here, but you guys are just too funny to read to let it pass, i’m in if you don’t mind ^^, will be watching as many games as I can, and for the rest of them I shall trust your comments hehehe

translation...or whatever
well it’s actually not that funny, in fact it’s kinda embarrasing admitting I once found it funny, but I was a kid back then you know, and once you start supporting a team when you are a kid it’s hard to stop hehe.
Ok, a spanish-speaking person would read Warriors “guarriors”, and it’s pronounced almost exactly as guarros. Guarro (s for plural as in english) means mucky, dirty, someone who doesn’t wash or take a shower, someone who smells bad…well, I don’t know the EXACT word, but I’m sure you get the point…as said it’s not really funny, bit hey, we were all kids once right?

I got a bad feeling about non-local TV watchers
I got DirecTV as well, and I cannot find it listed anywhere… and I ALWAYS find it listed somewhere. Does KGW, when broadcasting alone, not get their feed picked up by NBA League Pass? That’s a load of aardvark poop!
I’m gonna check out GSOM and see how them all are gonna watch it. If I gotta sit in front of my teenie tiny Bayless’s-wingspan-sized laptop, so be it, but I’d feel a lot better if I could watch it on TV.
WHAT IS NBA LEAGUE PASS FOR IF I CANNOT WATCH MY DAMN STORIES.
I’m gonna go look into this some more, because it is rudyculous to not be able too watch the game WHEN IT IS BEING TELEVISED WITH ACTUAL CAMERAS AND ANNOUNCERS AND ELECTRICITY AND SUCH.

For those interested in watching the Celtics pre-season against Philly over the Internet (DARIUS)
You have to download a software, but it’s developed by a team of former Stanford students so I guess it’s safe (or at least not less safe than downloading some Chinese software). And it’s available for Windows, Mac,… The quality kicks Justin.tv, and there is a channel right now showing NBA TV.

Will have to see how stable it is in the next weeks and what’s on there though.
