Blazers Trivia: Guess the Season edition

Has the season started yet? Nope. One more round of trivia!

This week's edition is "guess the season". I'll give an event in Blazers history, and you guess the season it happened in.

The Rules!

1. No searching Google for answers and posting them! That's way too easy.
2. Please list the full season in question (ie. if I asked what season Portland won the title, the answer is "76-77", not just "1977"). It's just easier to check your answer that way.
3. If the event happened during the summer (like a draft pick), just listing the year is fine. (ie. if I asked "Portland drafted Greg Oden", an answer of 2007 is great)

There's no trick questions here. But there are some tough ones, since the last few games have gone so fast.

Let's get to some Blazer history!

--------

1. Portland drafts Clyde "The Glide" Drexler.

2. Portland wins 30 games for the first time.

3. The last time a player listed in the NBA's "50 greatest players" was playing in a Blazers uniform.

4. Portland makes the playoffs with a 38-44 record.

5. Portland bows out of the playoffs in record fashion, losing the deciding game 5 to Utah, 102-64.

6. Portland ends the season with the worst record in team history.

7. A Blazer wins the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year.

8. Kermit Washington famously connects with Billy Ray Bates for an Alley-oop at the buzzer to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers.

9. For the first time, Portland's coach is named NBA's Coach of the Year.

10. The Blazers complete "The Perfect Quarter", leading San Antonio 49-18 after the 1st.

Good luck!

I'll take a shot

1. 1982 I know Drexler was before Jordan who was in 1984, we didn’t think those two could share the court and we wanted a big man. Other than that, I can’t remember the year. I hope I’m not wrong on Jordan as well.

3. Whenever Scottie retired? 2001?

6. Well that’d have to be 2005-2006, right? The year we should have gotten the 1st draft pick, but that anti luck came back to help us out when we got the number 1 for Oden.

Devil's Advocate or just argumentative?

Clearing Room For The Blazers Out West

As the playoff picture begins to take shape it becomes clear that the Western Conference is one big game of musical chairs. There are nine viable playoff teams; unfortunately there are only eight playoff spots. For the Blazers to get a spot, one of last year's playoff teams needs to fall off. Someone's going to be caught standing when the music stops. The following are possible scenarios that could derail each team on their quest for playoff glory, helping the Blazers get back to the postseason for the first time since 2003.
