He was so awesome!

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

are the only gems of the jail blazer era.

ironic

that his kid loves rasheed, when rasheed was such a d*ck to sabonis.. love arvydas, so blessed that we had perhaps the two greatest passing centers of all time, arvydas and walton..

Yep. I caught that too

regarding Sheed. I hadn’t seen this video before. Sabonis was so lunch bucket, show up, do his thing, as diminished from his star days before his legs gave out …and he had to watch / be associated with the antics of some of his team mates at the time (shakes head).

Sheed. An enigma, wrapped in…something…

Sabas is an ALL TIME FAV !

I got his autograph in 96 and asked him
how he’d do in the 3pt contest ? Uncle Cliffy
overheard and said " He’d beat all the centers,
but not me !"

It's GO time !

Man

he was a really, really good passer

Walton, no slouch as a center with a passing game

says Sabis is the best of all time at the position. Yes he was a joy to watch, bad knees and all.

I still remember the Goodwill Games (I think) in ’86 when Sabonis took David Robinson to school. At least I remember it that way.

Clearing Room For The Blazers Out West

As the playoff picture begins to take shape it becomes clear that the Western Conference is one big game of musical chairs. There are nine viable playoff teams; unfortunately there are only eight playoff spots. For the Blazers to get a spot, one of last year's playoff teams needs to fall off. Someone's going to be caught standing when the music stops. The following are possible scenarios that could derail each team on their quest for playoff glory, helping the Blazers get back to the postseason for the first time since 2003.

Check out the other scenarios over at Bustabucket
