Central Oregon Blazer Fans....
A heads up for everyone stuck out here with only the nationally televised games. I talked to Bend Broadband earlier today about the Blazers, like I do almost every week.Today I got a slightly different answer than usual...
When I started going off about how we need to watch Blazer games in C.O. they gave me a survey about how much I wanted to watch them play, etc. They asked whether I was willing to pay $1.50 more on my cable bill if I could get the channel, and also wanted to see if I was willing to upgrade my cable package slightly to get CSN.
This makes me think Central Oregon is very close to coming up with a deal.
To voice your displeasure with no deal currently, call Bend Broadband at 541-382-5551. I went through the options and talked to someone at the executive office, that seemed to be fairly effective. Let's put some pressure on them to make this happen.
Even if I don't stay in Bend to watch the Blazers this season (I'm probably moving back to PDX shortly), I think everyone deserves the chance to watch them play, and everyone in the state should have the opportunity to watch the upcoming Blazers glory.

Precisely
Keep putting on the pressure and make your feelings known (regardless of your provider)

I got the email to do the survey today.
I am going to fill it out tonight.

There is a deal that is getting closer
This is the most positive I’ve felt about getting the channel since I’ve been here.
Keep up the pressure and don’t be afraid to phone them. Make a person deal with your displeasure…
I made sure to tell them that “a torrent of calls are coming your way.”

I've emailed them from my home and business.
I’ve told my friends to call and email as well. I’m doing my part believe me.

That is good news...
I have a feeling the ball is now really going to start rolling on this, I mean, the pre-pre-season intrasquad scrimmage was almost a sell-out. I’m going to wait to try my DirecTV trick until a few weeks into the season with my fingers crossed. I have e-mailed BendBroadband over 10 times using my friends e-mail addresses this week. The company I work for is a sponsor for cryin’ out loud. We have two bars with lots of TV’s and we, a sponsor, can’t get the games or show our market our commercials. It’s starting to effect even more than just us regular fans. This’ll get done soon. First time I’ve had any real face. Thanks for this great post. +1!
PS – We’re running a Blazer Bus on November 18th. The package includes lunch at our restaurant in Bend, bus ride to Portland, ticket to the game, hotel room at the Lucia on Broadway, breakfast at our Portland restaurant (in the hotel), and back on the bus for home. Anybody interested give me a shout and I’ll give you my business e-mail. Still working on the details ($$), but the tickets are free (we’re sponsors) and we get deals on the rooms too since our restaurant is in it. Let me know…GO BLAZERS!!!

That date is wrong.
The schedule says the Blazers are at Golden State that day. I’ll have to check with my home office. I’ll probably announce this as a fanpost. Does anyone know if Ben or Dave would reject to that? I feel like a salesman…

Email Dave and ask him
I suspect he’d say it’s ok on rare occasions, as long as it isn’t all the time. You are providing a service to help fans, even if you are making money. But you should ask.
