Let's pack Claudia's Tomorrow!

Let's pack the bar at Claudias' on Hawthorne and welcome the new season!  I know HD at home is nice, but let's go crazy, this year is special!   Yes, I am a man of few words, but they will be very loud tomorrow night.  I have HD and DVR at home and pay an extra $20 a month on top of my already high cable bill, but let's celebrate the old fashioned way, with beer in a bar and tons of Blazer fans!!  Go Blazers!

Eh

Wasn’t impressed. I went there for a preseason game and was stuck watching the game on a teeny tiny screen because the football game was on the one big tv they had. I had to leave at halftime to watch it somewhere else. Also, I paid $4 for a pint of beer. Mico, true, but still. That’s not a very good deal.

When asked about his thoughts during the Olympic games about playing against Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard, Rudy responded "My first thought was respect. My second thought was to kick their ass".

Man I love him.

don't worry, it will be packed

I’ll be there with 7 or 8 friends, and I would bet anything the game will be on the big screen, World Series be damned.

My major complaint about Claudia’s is that because they show so many games, they sometimes keep the play by play volume too low on the primary game. The game is made much more interesting when you can hear the commentary/play by play/court sounds.

Clearing Room For The Blazers Out West

As the playoff picture begins to take shape it becomes clear that the Western Conference is one big game of musical chairs. There are nine viable playoff teams; unfortunately there are only eight playoff spots. For the Blazers to get a spot, one of last year's playoff teams needs to fall off. Someone's going to be caught standing when the music stops. The following are possible scenarios that could derail each team on their quest for playoff glory, helping the Blazers get back to the postseason for the first time since 2003.

Check out the other scenarios over at Bustabucket
