It's Friday, my friends.
We're four days off the season opener.
Still no call on the Small Forward spot, but V-bo (aka Shan-dolph, aka the "Mista Sausage") is in. (Did Joel Freeman take a subtle swipe with this headline: "He's Got Their Backs?")
Anyway, I'm prescribing myself four days of calm, relatively basketball-free thoughts until the Big Game. I don't wanna sit up night wondering, dreaming, running sets, or else poor Rudy's gonna be very tired form slamming down all those dreamy alley-oops.
This plan to forget the Blazers for the next four days is doomed to fail, I know it. Monday I'm gonna be chewing on the furniture. Tuesday I'll need sedation.
So tell me: What's the best way to prep for the Big Game?
What's your strategy to keep cool until tip-off?
Or, do you just let your engine rev harder and faster until you burn rubber across mankind on opening night?
