I don't know about you but I'm starting to get a bit anxious.

Do you have any special home opening night plans? Will you be wearing a halloween costume to the game?

I'm thinking about dressing up as Dave but I'm still waiting for one of these to arrive in the mail. Once it arrives, I guess I'll have to steal a baby or something.

I can’t NOT be home with my young one for Halloween, no matter how bad I’d like to go to the game.

I think Halloween all over Oregon will be kinda strange

It’s the civic duty of every person who stays at home to put a TV in their window, so that chaperones can keep an eye on the game.

I remember this being the case with some UO game or something when Halloween fell on a Saturday, it was completely commonplace to ask for updates every house you went to.

I will definitely be there!

Fortunately, it starts getting dark around 5 o’clock this time of year in Portland, so that leaves me ample time to spend some quality Halloween time with my daughter before abandoning her for the 7 o’clock tipoff.

I might dress up like Rudy in the Spanish National Jersey I got. My hair doesn’t curl, but I can definitely offset my jaw enough to match his crooked grin :-) Perhaps I can cut out a picture of Dwight Howard’s head to tape in my armpit too. Any other ideas?

Opening night plans!

I’ve been planning for this game ever since the schedule came out….I"ve invited a group of my closest friends over to my house for the game and a BBQ. The blazers fans in attendance will be enjoying a feast of my award winning smoked chicken, baby back ribs and sausage. I’ve also invited a couple of my friends who are diehard L*kers fans…..I plan on microwaving some hot dogs for them.

Going to the game

dressed as an old timey Blazer fan in vintage shirt and some silvery hair.

Grandson (my usual companion) is playing his last h.s. football game so can’t come. He understands I won’t be at his game – he only plays in the last few minutes anyway. His sis has other plans, so I’m taking a friend who doesn’t own a Blazer shirt and probably wouldn’t wear one if I gave it to her. Sigh. She usually remembers to wear red tho. And since she offered to take me to dinner beforehand I’ll forgive the reticence.

I’m in the 24% group!! Gonna have the time of my life. Gonna smile and dance with the dancing lady. Gonna watch the Blazers beat the stuffing out of the Spurs.

Out of state (barely) watching on TV.

Never had a single trick-or-treater here (maybe I should unlock the gate). Even if the kids broke in I’d never give them candy! Apples maybe … or cigarettes. Never any sugar poison.

I’ll probably put on a Blazer Edge T-shirt and watch the game by my lonesome. I’ll be nervous and excited!
