I AM SICK AND TIRED!!!

of feeling like a cheap freeloader whenever i want to watch a blazer game. I have to go around random websites for a link to a blazer game everytime. Why cant i just take a seat at my couch and watch the game + record it so i can watch highlights over and over again? Blazer games are harder to find than big foot. WHEN WILL THIS BE SOLVED? why cant i watch a simple basketball game of my own hometeam?

Here's hoping usmcr that

you have the prognostication abilities of Jean Dixon - especially in light of Larry Miller’s guess that a deal wouldn’t be reached by then.

if we continue that analogy

does that mean we’ll find a Blazer game in someone’s freezer?

I dont' think that Blazer's games are guaranteed in the Bill of Rights

plus it’s still the preseason, you know. Time was, no one cared about the preseason.

by Section323 on Oct 12, 2008 2:10 PM PDT reply actions

Yes but still

The only pro sports team in town needs better coverage than that. especially when they have such great roster filled with exciting players

by bowdown on Oct 12, 2008 3:03 PM PDT up reply actions

I do not want a guarantee

I just want a choice.

Do I want to drive 150 miles through elk roamin’ country or stay at home and watch the game?

I have ten – fifty bucks to spend but NO CHOICE!

The Bill of Rights? What's that?

I’m sorry I’ve grown up under George W. Bush I’m not sure I know what you mean? Is it related to that Constitution thing I hear the old timers talk about? I bet that’s from back when they had Democracy too! Kinda showing your age their Section 323.

We haven't had a Bill of Rights for at least the last twenty years.

Maybe longer. And it’s both the Democrats and the Republicans who have thrown it out the window. But there I go into politic-land again. Maybe I should choose a safer subject, like religion.

Your so bad

I gave you a rec. I think the Comcast thing sucks and I am sad for Blazers fans. Regarding the preseason games, I don’t think they should be televised, for the same reason plays don’t charge admission to rehearsals.

Comcast is awesome

It allowed me to watch every single Blazer game last year. Thats cool in my book.

But who cares

S4E got to watch the games, that’s what counts!

Why do you always bring up such hot button issues?

I think I’ll get you back on topic by saying that the Comcast issue should be discussed in the next presidential debate. If the debates are done, then maybe they should schedule a special one on the Comcast issue. Maybe then I would care about voting.

+1 and then some!

It’s very, very irritating to be willing to pay very significant money to watch the games and be prevented. For apparently no good reasons.

It does assuage my guilt over being a “freeloader.” I figure hey, I’m willing to pay money but if they won’t take it then I’m going to do these things illegally. I never would’ve known about some of these websites if they would’ve just taken my money.

I don’t know why the NBA won’t charge me a fee and let me watch the games online legally. I am willing to pay.

I'm glad I have comcast but when I was at the game today I noticed that the camera guys where recording the game.

I don’t understand why the hell they aren’t showing this game to the people of Portland at least.

I go to college in SoCal...

and im pretty sure every Lakers preseason game has been on tv here, even tonights game thats at UNLV’s campus. and if im not mistaken it seems like only 1 or maybe 2 of the Blazers preseason games has been on tv back home….r we really letting the Lakers outdo us on this? i guarantee no one here gives a crap about their preseason games yet they still make sure theyre on tv for everyone

by shushu on Oct 12, 2008 8:49 PM PDT reply actions

I also think

that a deal will get done if not before the start of the season, at least well before the all-star break. There’s just too much money to be made. And with the new comcast ads playing it seems like they’re getting ready for something.

It also doesn't do anything for those of us who are remote

and don’t have a TV.

NBA needs to put the freaking games online and do that separately from their NBA package.

by ratbastird on Oct 13, 2008 12:52 PM PDT up reply actions

Or the NBA (if indeed they are the responsible party)

could stop blocking out NBA League Pass games from those who can’t get Comcast telecasts! How far do I have to be from Portland before I’m not blacked out for christmas sake?

If I joined Norsktroll in Europe there would be no League Pass at all. So I’m not going there. If Dave would let me live in his basement, my problem would be solved. Don’t know if I’m up to crying babies anymore though (referencing baby PG — not Dave.)
