Monta Ellis suspended for 30 games = $4 million
He will be out without pay through December 17th, a game against Indiana. This coincides with the time needed for his ankle rehab anyway. And the Warriors save enough money to pay Ronny Turiaf this year. Everybody wins :-)

I'll bet that hurts almost as much as the ankle.
Consider that of the $11 million he will earn this season, half goes to the feds right off the top, which means that after this fine, his net for the season is $3.5 million and he still must pay state and local taxes, too. Good thing for Monta that gas prices are down!

Not to mention
Bay area housing is horrid. I’ve heard that guys go there and get a pay raise, then after housing and taxes, it turns into a pay cut.
My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

I also heard that
they can void his contract at any time they want now too. No more screw ups, and your game better not decline.
