Anybody watching (or listening to the commentators) knows that game was all about LeBron James. (That's what having an ultimate go-to guy can do for you -- that is why having a go to guy is soooo important in the NBA.)
It needed to be about the Blazers.
For it to be about the Blazers, the team needed to step up. We need to get a little edge. To say, "No freakin' way! This is NOT about you. This is all about us!"
Roy gets it. That's why he is a potential all-star. There are more talented players on the Blazers, but none who have worked harder. And none who get it as much.
Jones got it when he committed that flagrant foul last game. He was saying -- in the wrong way you can't really justify his method but I get what he was trying to do -- "No freakin' way is this game about you! We are the man, and you will not take that away from us!"
If and when we 'get it' -- watch out.
This league can be about the Trailblazers.
[Then, just maybe, Roy will get some freakin' calls!]
