i know since the old blazer thoughts i'd have more fun talking to real fans of 1 of my personal favorite teams.for the most part the conversations and arguments have been entertaining and fun.but a deal is a deal.to all the people who wished me the best thanks for giving me a reason to live.a year ago at this time,my fiancee had orvatal cancer.she's been in a reha center for 10 months now.when i come back 1 year from tonight.i pray to god when i go to work.she's wacthing t.v. in my bedroom. which means she's alright,she finally has her memory back and i can live my damn life again with her.my life has just about been empty without her.my nephews miss her deeply also.because her lunches they miss dearly.as for the guys here on the edge take care fellas. i'll definately see you again in a year. if you seriously will miss me,i'll be on quick's chat every thursday check your local listings.who knows what casey is going to do over there.to the guys who have e-mailed me to keep in touch.oh yeah fellas we'll keep in touch daily.and for the contest.good luck to everyone who got involved.i can't wait to meet you in april out in portland.to all my haters don't worry i will be back with a chip the size of mt.hood 1 year without this chat aghhh i'll live. and to my many supporters as far as guam and europe.i love you and i'll be back in 1 year.and finally to my boys from the edge to quick's chat.damir,england dan,p.allen it's on tomorrow fellas have my back it's on tomorrow afternoon guys book it.for those who regularly go to quick's chat i'll see you tomorrow.for the guys on the edge daily see you 1 year from today later fellas.

You can't just say good bye and leave, fatty. So you made a mistake. Big deal. Everyone makes mistakes. Just say you're sorry and admit you were wrong and ask for forgiveness from the community. You don't have to get all righteous and honor your silly pledge or bet or whatever it was. Stop being so darn dramatic.

All you are doing by banishing yourself is punishing the community. Nobody will be better off as a result of your absence. Truly, you are an endearing figure and it's better for everyone if you just act like all of this never happened.

Not sure why you are banished. I guess I will search the archives and try and find a loop hole. Seriously fatty, I always check for your comments second, right after Dave of course, whenever there is breaking news. I guess this will make me check out the chats. Self-imposed banishment.

Fatty made a bet that Oden's surgery would be no big deal; it turned into microfracture--he said that if it were a big deal, he'd not post for a year.

Now, I don't know of anyone who intends to hold fatty to that bet; his departure is voluntary.

But that's the reason.

Plus, as indicated in the above, health issues with his family.

Good luck, and remember. 'Round here, we're impressed with basketball insight; not with how hearty you party.

I would have to say that short of Dave you are the most "acomplished" poster here at the edge. Kudo's for becoming the "Anti-Dave" around here.

I have to say that my heart goes out to you and your family. Having to deal with that has got to be the most draining things immginable for you. Take care of yourself and your family.

Now... as far as leaving for a year... I do expect to see a post from you around March announcing your ascent upon Portland. We really should set up a get together somewhere for BEdgers. I am sure a lot of us would love to meet you in person.

Either way, looking forward to hearing from you again.

I'm sorry about your fiance, and just prayed for her. I don't know her name, but God does.

Take care of those nephews. I try to teach my sons to be better men than I am, and I think we can all book it that's what you are trying to do with those young men.

All the best to you, and see you in a year.

One request: come back and post a diary every 3-4 months updating us on your fiance. That way, we'll all know your ok. And if Houston wins it all, you can even gloat a little bit -- and if they lose, you can eat crow.
