Box Top All-Stars
The cult stars post got me thinking about the bygone days of Rip City greatness. In particular, I was reflecting on the 88-92 era, when the box top was the hairstyle of choice for celebrities and NBA ballers alike. From the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to Kid'n'Play and even Vanilla Ice, that hairstyle was everywhere. And anyone at my elementary/jr. high with the right genetics to rock that style (and the appropriate shaved lines) was automatically made. So, that got me thinking about the many Blazer greats (and not-so-greats) who joined the box top posse. Please weigh in on whose hairstyle you most admired. In the immortal words of Vanilla Ice, "Yo, VIP, let's kick it!"

The next inductee into the U club will be . . .
And the other international who should already be a member, and perhaps president . . . Zydrunas Ilgauskas!!! He's already sporting the U.
And the player who SHOULD FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THAT IS DECENT join the club . . . Chris Kaman!!! Somebody needs to tell him that only actors playing the role of serial killer, child molestor, or the undead are ALLOWED to be on TV while both balding and sporting long thin stringy hair past the shoulder. Truly frightening. And yet still not scary enough to get the Clips to the post season via intimidation factor.

I've always had a spot for Byrant
We both came to Portland at the same time. I was working on a project up in Syracuse before getting sent out here and therefore saw quite a bit of Bryant in Big East play. The guy was a monster.
Anyone recognize the guy behind Mark in that first photo? I think its Adrian Branch (U of Maryland - and another DeMatha grad).
