Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Ime out for sure

Quoting KP in Casey's ongoing chat with him, in regards to Ime:

"We will miss him."

He talked about why they preferred Outlaw, and that Ime was asking too much money for them (significantly MORE than they payed Travis). Together with a full roster, that sounds final.

If he's getting more than Travis is
then more power to him.  He worked hard for it.

Damn.
I was hoping we would've had at least ONE 'local boy made good', too....

If we lose ya, Ime, you deserve more $$$ than you can imagine...or 'IME-gine' (sorry)....

You kicked serious butt last year, and really demonstrated good passion & class.

We love ya, Ime. You deserve a ring as well!

If you get to be a Spur, I hope they repeat (if we don't get there next) & you get the glory you've earned here in P-Town. 'Nuff said.

Welcome to the new guys! Get ready to be champions!!

Ime and Cap Space
So stevie franchise just signed with the rockets for 6 mil. How much cap relief do the blazers get from this signing? And would it be enough to sign Ime to a reasonable contract? Our perimeter defense is going to take a huge hit if he leaves. But then again, he doesn't have many other seasons like last season under his belt. Is he related to Raja Bell? I kid I kid.
Please KP, Give Portland a little bit of Oden...

will miss you
I really dont understand why KP isnt making ime a priority, he is exactly what we need, hes a stopper. Solid all around defender. I guess KP has a lot of faith in Roy and Jones defense(dont count on Martell for nothin) Ime we will miss you very much.
I get the feeling the KP isnt going to trade Jack anytime soon either, which really makes things more odd to me. We are in need of defensive wing players, imagine how bad kobe will go off next year with James Jones, Brandon Roy and Martell Webster or Jack guarding him, ouch!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
