Frye's dismal 2005-2006 season

Just read this on truehoop:

You read the nice features about Channing Frye last weekend, now take a look at Knickerblogger's sober (and spot-on) assessment of the Blazer power forward's 2006-07 performance. We're all still in love with Channing's potential, but the man was nervous and no-good last season. Not a sound combination. Mike from Knickerblogger.net has been putting these sorts of player report cards together for the last month, they're well worth a read and re-read.

sounds like his drop in PER from his rookie to sophomore season was nearly unprecedented.

Let's hope he can bounce back to at least being an okay back-up, rather than a one-dimensional (mid-range jumper) player who plays soft and doesn't crash the boards hard.
