I'd like to thank you for re-investing in your basketball franchise. Your willingness to right the ship has invigorated a city, and my dreams.
Buying back the Rose Garden was a bigger deal than many people gave you credit for, but those of us in this forum realize and appreciate your investment. Of course, that investment paid off on May 22nd and will continue to pay off over the next decade.
Spending for draft picks and to facilitate trades the past two seasons has rebuilt this franchise into a team of role-models that we're proud to support.
Finally, I thank you for having the courage to effectively give away $30 million dollars to a man just so he WON'T tarnish the franchise's new luster. It's not fair that he should receive that much money for doing nothing but staying away, but it's the lesser of two evils. So, if you ever have any second thoughts about whether that was a good idea or not, take it from me, you did the right thing.
It won't be long before your Portland franchise will do what your Seattle one couldn't do...win a championship!
We thank you for your support.
PS, for a mere $2 million I can get you an official Blazers Edge t-shirt. I can get them wholesale.
