I have a couple ideas on how to get both picks in the draft. Keep in mind this is nothing more than a pipe dream, I don't think Seattle gives up that #2 pick for anything. So before you get critical remember its just for fun.
The cost is high and I'm not sure I'd give up our youth to do it. I'm not sure other teams would go for it either. But I'd like some feedback on this. Hopefully it's not too ridiculous...
Portland Incoming: #2, Gadzuric, Boykins, Villeneuva, Wilcox
Portland Outgoing: Randolph, Aldridge, Webster, Jack, Sergio, #37, 2008 1st round (unprotected)
Seattle Incoming: Aldridge, Childress, #6, #11, Portland 2008 1st round (unprotected)
Seattle Outgoing: Wilcox, Petro, #2, #31, #35
Milwaukee Incoming: Randolph, Petro, Sergio, #35
Milwaukee Outgoing: Gadzuric, Boykins, Villeneuva, #6
Atlanta Incoming: Jack, Webster, #31, #37
Atlanta Outgoing: Childress, #11
Notes: I used Wilcox and Childress because people say they are more likely to go than Collison and Smith. We also have other assets like 2nd rounders to sweeten deals. Portland's roster would look like:
Boykins/Dickau/Roy
Roy/Jones
Durant/Ime(re-signed)/Outlaw(re-signed)/Miles
Wilcox/Villeneuva/Raef
Oden/Pryz/Gadzuric
