I have read that Oden wants his pal Conley to be drafted along with him, and supposedly Pritchard is entertaining the idea. Well, if Oden can't play without his pal, then he probably doesn't have the mental toughness to make it in the NBA in a big way. It's OK to have his mom with him in Portland, but his own personal PG? If Portland were to trade Zach to Atlanta or Milwaukee for their pick, then the Blazers would have to take back bad salaries. It's just silly. I don't see Conley as a big improvement over Jack in the near term or Sergio in the long run. If the Blazers want Oden, then trade Zach for Rashard Lewis and stand pat. I mean what sort of a message does it send to others on the team if the Blazers bend over backwards to please Oden. If they choose Durant, then either trade Zach for a better big, like Pau Gasol, or - more likely- just keep him and go into next season with Jack, Roy, Durant, Randolph and Aldridge as your starters with Rodriguez, Jones, Webster, Outlaw and Przybila as main back ups with Dickau, Lafrentz and maybe a resigned Udoka as more bench players.
