Theme song question

Does anyone know the name of the theme song they play on KXL at the beginning of the blazer games? Its the one with the trumpets and has been around for a LONG time. I have been pulling my hair out trying to find it and cant seem to find a name or a snip of it anywhere... I need a new ringtone for my phone now that the NFL season is ending. :)

I would guess

That it was written specifically for this purpose, as the Trail Blazer's own fanfare. But I could be wrong.

You could always record it off the radio and make it into an mp3.

Its been around...

I remember this from when I was a kid and they played it on 1190KEX when the games were on there. Also whenever there was a home game on KGW TV. I have never been able to find it. I might try to record it if I cant find it...

that fanfare as my ringtone for a couple years now. Tried calling the team and the radio station but no reply. If anyone has it, I want it!

...and the Col. Bogey March that they used to use for the Greyhound racing at Multnomah Kennel Club always stood out for me as a child...oh yeah and the old-school 'agony of defeat' Wide World of Sports theme as well.

try this

you could download some free audio editing software (google "free audio recorder) and then stream kxl from your computer. You can have the software record any sound coming out from your computer. got to get the timing right though

Fan Fare and Themes

I wish I knew the name of the trumpet fan fare at the start of Blazer broadcasts, but you know that it is actually the beginning part of the original Trailblazer's theme, don't you? I wish I could find that entire theme song as I still remember it from both radio and TV broadcasts from way back. Very nostalgic.

In terms of NBA themes, I still really dig John Tesh's 'Roundball Rock' (known more commonly as the NBA on NBC theme.)
