whoa
A lifelong music fan, he began amassing the world's largest collection of rock and roll memorabilia: Original lyric sheets. Costumes. Guitars. Particularly fond of another Seattle native, Jimi Hendrix, Allen paid an undisclosed fortune for the Stratocaster the rock star played at Woodstock.

Holy... wow.

:o

Ultimate jealousy.

He owns the Experience Music Museum
in Seattle where a large portion of his collection is on display. He also is a true nerd with a very, very large collection of alien/sci-fi stuff. He built the Sci-Fi museum right next to the Music Experience Museum which is somewhat cool and a little disturbing as well.

The guy is rich
He had an interest in World War Two planes so he bought a few. Geeze.

I keep waiting to read
that Paul Allen combined his interest in WWII and ships and has bought the battleship Missouri out of mothballs! Can you imagine that thing at Cannes?

whoa...
"Allen reached an agreement to buy back the Rose Garden and is currently soliciting buyers of arena naming rights to ease the financial burden."

Whoa.. Rename The Rose Garden?? Please don't let it be true.

If it's going to keep PA happy and allow him to continue to build up this team, I say go ahead.

Counting his money
I think it is tasteless to go into such detail about his wealth.  Too many numbers, what is the media counting his money for?

I like how they pointed out he owns both the 'Hawks and the Blazers, but his first love is with Portland.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
