OK, I admit it...I'm bored. The holiday season has pretty much left me with nothing to do at work, so I get to read about the NBA all...day...long. Sounds good until you've literally read everything. In my wanderings, I stopped by Blog-a-bull to see how life's treating them, and the talk was about acquiring Pau Gasol because they need another soft, jump-shooter. Well, not to be outdone, does Portland want one? Here's the trade, and my reasoning:

Jack + Frye + LaFrentz = Gasol + Conley Jr.

Memphis gets two young dynamic players that would compliment their remaining roster and offensive philosophy. They'd also save a load of money when LaFrentz's contract expires (pay him not to exercise his player option).

Portland gets another Spanish National Team member to pair with Sergio this season and Rudy next season. The "white-unit" could actually comprise that whole team if we wanted to get another trade started with Toronto. We'd also get Oden's running mate from college. He could rehab with Oden.

Trade checker says this can work. Should we send the suggestion to KP?
