Mark Cuban has released thousands of internet hacking robots
That's the only way I can explain the bizarre All Star voting. I know that it would be far fetched to think that one of our beloved Blazers would make the fan vote (with any luck some of this Roy-love could help with a coaches pick), but to have both Terry and Jerry Freaking Stackhouse above Roy is mind-numbingly ridiculous. Only to be outdone with Eric "I only play in contract years" Dampier ahead of LMA. What are your thoughts on Dallas getting their scrubs on the all star list?

Seriously!?!?!?!?!?!?
You can't even blame it on national popularity. It must be the electronic voting system. I demand a recount, especially in the 4th congressional district of Florida.
Allstar voting is flawed
Blazer fans are forced to compete against whole countries!!
Germany, Italy, Fance, China, Canada all against Portland.

we need
NOw before everyone gets their panties in a wad about All-Star games being for the fans, blah blah blah realize that for the most part your still going to get your stars as starters. I think the difference would be that guys like Roy would make it if it was voted on by the players. Game recognizes game. My plan would also eliminate the coaches bias, and ability to take a marginal all star guy from his own team to keep peace on his own bench. He could honestly tell that guy, "Sorry, I voted for you.....but...". If you want to leave something to the fans, leave the last spot open and have a vote between two guys. Something like baseball does to fill the last roster spots. It's funny to see those 2 guys on sportscenter campaigning for it. OR, during the game, leave the MVP voting to the fans via internet or texting. We could turn all-star weekend into American Idol! Bottom line is that there is no way a true fan can be objective or rational. How many BEdgers have voted for JJ on their ballot.? Fan is short for fanatic.

and you could also argue
I could start making comments about an intelligence to number of votes ratio, but that would be totally unfair tho I do think that many who vote every day are voting for familiar names rather than current performances.
Maybe they should change the name from All-Star Game to Fans' Favorites Game. And thats the trooth.
