Hey Dave,
I guess I'm a bit late, but major congrats to you and Mrs. Dave.  He looks like a small forward from here.

Top story on ESPN.
Woke up this morning, and the Blazers were the number one story on SportsCenter. I don't need national recognition, but need it or not, we're starting to get it.
When feeling discouraged about the Blazers' learning process, just remember that at least the Jail Blazer era is over.

nice show of class by anthony in that article
"I didn't even think he was going to jump," Anthony said. "It wasn't no foul. It was a good defensive play by him."

i mean it's obvious by replay it was a clean block but a lot of players will try to make excuses...never really liked melo's attitude but i respect him for admitting someone got the best of him instead of complaining about the officials not bailing him out or anything

Derek really IS a good luck charm
I just checked to see that he was born four days before this steak started. Maybe those will be the only two Blazer losses of his life. (Or maybe not...)

Specifically...
...about Jason Quicks article concerning Rudy Fernandez.

Jason contends that it's already happened, that through this win streak Brandon has played PG.

Alright, jump all over me. Have I missed something? I've watched Brandon play along side Blake, Jack, Sergio...

Brandon has become more agressive, and is acting as initiator of our offense but from the 2 spot. So is this a semantic arguement? I just don't define Brandon as currently playing point guard. I see him as our play making 2 guard.

This is a separate concept from what might happen next season with the arrival of Rudy Fernandez. I just guess I'm not agreeing with Jason when he says Brandon is our PG now. No, more correctly I think he is our 2 guard, who can and does often initiate our offense.

The Kid
That Kid is the one that turned all of BlazerNation into believers again. From the moment he was born, the bad luck or juju or curse, whatever it was, has officially lifted. A blessing from God in so many ways.

Thanks Dave, Derek, and of course, the Mrs. (Who did most of the work.)

So surprising in so many ways. Bet as he grows, that streak will continue.

That was funny
I don't know if he was serious in thinking the  singers got booed, but the booing during the national anthem was because some idiot yelled out "Go Nuggets!" right in the middle of it.  I don't know if the guy lived to yell again.  Tacky.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
