the nuggets will be tired

The nuggets and rockets are in double OT right now, I'm predicting a very tired Denver team tomorrow night when they face Portland. Also Camby took a hard fall, he continued to play, but he hurt his back. The announcers were saying he is going to be really sore tomorrow, so will see if that affects his play.

4 mins left, will there be a 3rd overtime? hopefully.

No third OT
Nuggs won on a difficult shot by Anthony Carter.

Still, the Nuggs will be tired and yes, Camby is gonna be one sore dude. He hit the deck really hard and was grimacing in pain for the next ten minutes.

Nature bats last.

minutes played...
Iverson - 56:31
Melo - 51:26
Camby - 42:03

I hope Portland comes out running tomorrow night. If they do I think they can build a quick lead and then they just need to maintain it the rest of the game b/c denver is going to be too rundown to catch up.

Let's hope that Portland is not thinking they have
this wrapped up and they come out hungry and run it down their throats. I don't think AI gets tired.

Has it ever been studied?
Do teams that played the night before or played in OT the previous game have a worse record? The record after playing the previous night an/or traveling would seem to be an easy thing to study. And, given that schedules are adopted before the season starts, interpreting the results should be straightforward. Anyone?

THE STREAK WILL REACH 13 AT LEAST
NO WAY Denver comes in here and beats us in our house on a Friday night after that marathon. Too bad they did not loose as we would be in first place when we beat them tomorrow. They will be flying out tonight about 1-2 MST and will get in about 3-4 PST 4-5 MST and will have to play at 7 PST. HAHA

So we have Denver tomorrow night then:

Seattle: Lost last 2

Minny: Lost last 6

Philly: A payback game for the debacle in Philly

Then if we can get by in Utah we play at Minny and at Chicago and home against the Jazz again.

Good time to be a Blazer fan.

For playing so many good teams
the blazers have really been fortunate in catching teams coming off tough back to backs. I like it...

That's fair...
...given the difficult schedule we had to start the season with. Things even out over time, and I'm glad we're capitalizing now!
When feeling discouraged about the Blazers' learning process, just remember that at least the Jail Blazer era is over.

maybe
The Nuggets may be tired, but I am not sure if that matters.  Melo found his shot again (after a mini-slump) which will boost his confidence.  AI never gets tired (remember he never practices).  Camby may be tired, but he will still out-rebound any of the Blazers.  The nuggets want to/need to end our streak.  If the Blazers are not 100% ready for them, the Nuggets will win.  These back to back overtime games is where these guys earn their huge paychecks.  They will be ready.

I am also growing tired of people bypassing Seattle and Minnesota.  Teams (even good teams) tried to bypass and overlook the Blazers last year and were stopped 32 times.  One game at a time boys.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
