We start with the usual, Blake, Roy, Webster, LA and Joel
Joel has 6 points and 6 rebounds after minutes but he goes to the bench for TO
Webster has 6 points in 3 for 3 and Roy is 1 for 5 with 2 TO but JJack has to come in so of course Martel has to go out.
End of the 1st, game is tied.
Beginning of the second, Sergio, Frye and Jones come in for LA, Roy and Blake, team goes up 9 points after 5 minutes.
Time out, Nate send everybody to the bench we don't want to win the game with the second unit or show that any of those guys might be worth more minutes.
The first unit comes out, half time we are down by 3.
Third quarter, we show no energy and after EXACTLY the sames subs we had in the first quarter, regardless of who is playing well we finish the quarter down by 9.
Second unit comes out at the beginning of the 4th, teams gets back on track and we are up by one.
Time out again called by Nate, second unit goes to the bench, not like a good coach would do (example Sloan today where he let the second unit almost the entire 4th because they were down 16 and came back to only 5).
We finally lose the game by 6.
Anyway, the point is, this happens pretty much every other game and nobody says anything about our coach who is completely in love with Roy like I am and we all are, but changes the way he promised the team would play (uptempo) so that Roy can get the numbers he wants. It seems like Roy doesn't feel part of the game if he plays 40 minutes as a 2; he wants to play as 1 and 2 and plays 48 minutes, otherwise is hard for him to into the game ????
Roy is great but we will never win a championship if we make him believe he is Kobe and give him 48 minutes no matter what. IF we lose it is the second unit fault, and if we win is because of Roy, really????
Please take a look at how many games are like this script, people get benched because it is in the script not because they are playing good or bad.
