W O W
Imagine the blazers go into Salt Lake city to take on the jazz and the following happens:
-The blazer commit 20 turnovers
-The blazers shoot 22 less fg's than the jazz
-The blazers grab 13 less rebounds than the jazz
-Roy scores 16 points on 5-12 shooting and only plays 30 minutes
-LaMarcus never logs a single minute of action
-Boozer drops 29 points and grabs 13 boards
-Oden still has a bum knee and doesnt play
Thats a blazer loss everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. Right???
What happened??? How did the blazers control the majority of this game??(The jazz never led after the 1st quarter was over!!!) How did we get the most unprobable victory of Nate's coaching tenure???
WHAT A GAME!!!!

the answer is
1.) the jazz were lethargic
2.) The blazers played as a team for the entire game. They were ugly and didn't always know what to do but they were a team.
It was beautiful and amazing.
The jazz beat themselves to some extent, but the blazers played hard and together.
It is rediculous
sorry man
I wont be at the game before new years though, so the blazers can lose then.
Sorry

Sweet Sweet Victory!
This is the first time this year I have seen the Blazers play completely as a team, even with LMA benched. Not to say we didn't have our mistakes; turnovers...ouch! But it was a great team win.

Best Blazer Defense I can remember in recent days.
wow
and then one Blazer highlight- a Roy mid-range jumper.
"oh yeah, but the Blazers won."
ridiculous.
I was just going to point that out!
"Brandon Roy also scored 16 points for Portland, which is on its longest winning streak since winning five straight last December."
Ummm, wrong? I guess "longest since last month" doesn't have the same ring to it. It looks like the rest of the country just isn't going to acknowledge our previous streak.
the lack of respect is unbelievable...

I sometimes think that we will not have a "super" star on our team as KP has brought together players that prefer to play as a team rather than go for individual accolades. I think that the mix of the humble LMA and Roy will help to counterbalance the national hype that Oden will bring when he does hit the court, and all three will "rise together" (damn catchy slogan) into national acclaim. What will be starnge is that LMA and Roy will be scoring more than Oden but Oden will be the bigger star, just watch.

That's funny my wife is becoming a blazer fan too
Game tonight
Utah has really been struggling lately on the defensive side of the ball and have been blasted in the local SLC media. I hadn't watched one of their games in a couple of weeks, but they were just terrible. Martell, Blake and company just burned them time and time again with the extra pass around the perimeter for a wide open three.
And in regards to the earlier comment from the other guy that was at the game, I do have tickets for the New Years Eve game and they do need to win that one as well.
See ya all next Friday night in the Rose Garden for the game against Denver.
