This is a quote from the Sactown Royalty sister site, posted by TZ. It was posted after our victory.
"Brandon Roy and no one else beat the Kings in the last 30 seconds or so, getting off his first brilliant offensive play of the day on one end, denying Ron Artest in the post and drawing a charge on Francisco Garcia on the other end. And really, those 30 seconds or so sum up the beauty of Roy completely -- he knows exactly what he is doing on the court. He'll never shoot like Kevin Martin or dish like Deron Williams, but he is a complete player with an AMAZING feel for the game. Without Roy, people wouldn't be imagining a string of NBA championships for Greg Oden and LaMarcus Aldridge. Roy is the piece that sends this team's fortune out of the atmosphere." I post it as a diary entry, because it seems almost strange to hear praise like that about a Blazer, and The Blazers in general. It's been a while since the rest of the league took a look at The Blazers and had anything that nice to say about our players or our future.
I'm a Blazer fan, born and raised. Sometimes you can be too close to situation to really get a good view. I think any Blazer fan feeling down about The Blazers situation or season should just read the above quote.
This team has a ways to go, but when your opponents fans start saying things like the above? You've got to know you are heading in the right direction.
