Need some Blazer game info
I recently won some tickets from the radio here in Eugene, for the Blazers v. Pistons. I have never gone to the Rose Garden before, so any hints i can get woud be great. The seats are for the Lexus level, and we got a parking pass and food bracelet. What kind of stuff should I expect? Sorry to barge into the site like, this i usually post at the mariners blog, lookout landing. Too bad likely no trades for Seahawks tickets could be made.

Could have done w/o the last two lines but
The Club level seats are pretty great, especially nice that they included the food bracelets, come hungry, the food is quite good considering it's at a basketball game, it will be all you can eat of whatever the choices of the night are.
Expect a very excited crowd so long as things are going at least OK. Expect Lamarcus Aldridge to really impress. I hope you decide that it might be worth keeping any future Blazer tickets you manage to be awarded as opposed to considering a trade because you loved the game that much.

Agreed
The seats are actually very nice and much better than the 300 level. As to parking, back in! Trying to back out of those tiny-spaced parking garagres after a game is an invitation for an accident. Also, park close to the lower street exit so you won't be in a long line of cars trying to exit.
Lastly, come early. The parking garages are hard to identify and it's easy to get lost or turned around. The food's always hotter & fresher early as well. Add to that, it's nice to get to your seat with about 20 minutes before tip off to look around... Make it a full evening.
Oh yeah, the traffic up I-5 and into downtown could be a breeze (actually, it should be as people are generally leaving downtown that time of day), but still give yourself plenty of driving time. I would plan on a 2.5 hr drive to the Rose garden and another .5 hour to get parked. Allow 1 hour to eat and look around a bit and for a 7PM game, I'd leave Eugene no later than 3PM and maybe even 2 or 2:30.

Great points prophet
With regards to drive time I think most of I-5 will be a breeze, though wonder if you are passing through Salem at rush hour how bad that will be, I think I remember it being fairly heavy on I-5 around that time of day, and you may be fairly close to that time, so if you could I'd agree that leaving at 2 or 2:30 from Eugene would be wise, 3 will probably be OK, but some of that will depend on Salem, once you get into Portland you may see Vancouver traffic getting heavy on I-5, by game time it will be fine, but at 5:30 or so it could be rough, so you may want to consider exiting the highway around where OMSI is and taking 99E the rest of the way north, just a thought.
