Indiana - Golden State 8 player deal

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Ao14SvOaj_IJqMYzr.CriyW8vLYF?slug=pacerswarriorstrade&prov =st&type=lgns

BRISTOL, CONNECTICUT (TICKER) -- The Indiana Pacers reportedly have traded scorers Al Harrington and Stephen Jackson to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday in an eight-player deal that netted Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy Jr.

ESPN.com, citing unidentified NBA front office sources, is reporting the deal, which also has guard Sarunas Jasikevicius and forward Josh Powell going to the Warriors and forward Ike Diogu and guard Keith McLeod going to the Pacers.

Wowowowow, I feel bad for Al Harrington, It seems Indiana really just can't keep him.

Holy Hannah
That's a large-sized deal.  You don't see a ton of those.  Neither team was going anywhere rapidly though, so maybe it makes sense.

Golden State gets out of the awful contract it gave Mike Dunleavy.  They lose a little talent in Ike Diogu and Troy Murphy but neither one was really fitting in with Nellie ball anyway.

Indiana loses its second scorer in Harrington but also dumps problem child Stephen Jackson.  It'll be interesting to see how the latter fits into a lineup that now includes Harrington, Jason Richardson, and Baron Davis.  Indiana gets bigger and more physical while Golden State gets more pure offensive firepower.

Interesting trade for sure.

i like
harrington in golden states lineup he will fit nicely with them.

stephen jackson is a loser, and hasn't played all that well anyways, and with matt barnes and monta ellis and jrich I don't see where he fits in but ya never know.

Yeah
The Pacers have been trying to unload Jackson for some time but nobody wanted him.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
