GAMEDAY OPEN THREAD: Blazers vs. Jazz

Do all the usual chatter--pre-game, in-game, post-game--right here!  Miracle win tonight?  Fatty slinks off with tail between legs?

Hey Dave...
Hope you are having a great holiday.  Did you receive my email last week re: the third best Blazer?  My email client seems to be acting up lately.

Yes, Miracle Win Tonight
98 - 96 Blazers.
I predict Udoka will light it up from 3 point land and Zach will score at will against single coverage. Happy New Year Everybody.

ok...
we're 20 minutes in, where the hell is the game?

by ken @ Blazer's Edge on Dec 30, 2006 6:34 PM PST reply actions

apparently...
this game is not coming to a DirecTv near you.  Or near me, anyway.  This truly sucks.  Especially since it appears the Blazers are playing well, judging by early box scores.

Crap.  Can I say crap?  How about caca?

It's on KGW Channel 8. It's local.

Yeah,

-really playing well...
These guys will never get any better than they are right now if they can't MOVE THE FLIPPING BALL!!!!
It's getting so bad it's even boring when we're ahead.
I'm starting to question their collective IQ's...

Thanks for showing up, second unit. You too, defense. We missed ya these past few days...

Oh wait.

.....

What the hell. Nate is going to drill them, and rightfully so.

The game finally showed up...
about halfway through the third quarter.  At least I got to see the big run.

by ken @ Blazer's Edge on Dec 30, 2006 8:35 PM PST reply actions

My DirecTV
worked fine.  But as I said earlier they really screwed up the Hornets game.  Oh well, you wouldn't have wanted to see those middle quarters anyway, trust me...

go check the pictures on the ESPN writeup...
there's a really good (or, depending on your view, bad) pic of Boozer straight-up posterizing Przybilla. while I hate seeing my team lose like that or players get posterized, there is something of a gallows humor to it...

Yeah
That dunk was sick.  (At least I'm assuming that's what made the highlight reel...)

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
