GAMEDAY OPEN THREAD: Sixers vs. Blazers
The Hornets Gameday Thread is below. Since I'm out of town for the next couple days I'm posting everything at once. At the appropriate time you may register all of your pre-game, in-game, and post-game thoughts here.
If there are any eyewitness reports from the game go ahead and log them in the Diary section.

Lousy perimeter D?
Guys named Andre shouldn't be lighting us up like this. And why does Zach only have 10 shot attempts? He's not been in foul trouble all night...
Damn; the Blazers have narrowed the gap to three. Worst thing that could happen would be to pull a rabbit out of a hat and win this. Having their a**es handed to them by the Sixers on the home floor would be a good reminder.
Now it's one. First OSU pulls off a miracle comeback against Mizzou in Sun Bowl... are the Blazers going to stun the Sixers in similar fashion?
Looks like not. Final, Philly 98 Portland 95. Serves 'em right. :)

Anyway, isn't it funny the one time I do not complain about the refs, that they screw it up completely when Portland was in a position to win it -- or take it to overtime? It looks like, even against the Sixers, Portland gets no respect from the refs. The only other team in the league that gets treated this badly is Detroit -- and that is because they have Sheed.
Also, Travis, my god? What the hell man? If you had made 3-4 more shots that you have been hitting all year, Portland would have won this game. How about Martell's And1 3-pointer?
If Roy was a bit more aggressive in the third like he was in the fourth, Portland would have easily won.

That was some message Nate sent to Jack for his 11pts, 1asst, 4TO night when he did not play him in the fourth. Ouch.
Zach Randolph and Juan Dixon lead the team in Assists with 3 each. Yikes. Sergio and Jack had ONE assist each. Urhoohga?
That is the game right there folks. Ball movement.
(Like I have been saying all damn year long).

Dave on the spot
"Philly shoots well but doesn't rebound, doesn't defend well when they can't force turnovers, and gives up a horrendous 47.5% shooting percentage. The only way they're going to beat you is to score a ton. And the only way they're going to score more than you is if you get really lazy, start settling for bad shots, and don't get back in transition.."

As I said before..
Utah does all right without a superstar. They're a team with several Pippens, but no Jordan in sight.
No, Boozer isn't one. At least not yet. He's a garbageman--though the best in the NBA, at least this year.
Put him on a poorly-coached team (like, ironically, the Sixers) and see how well he does.
AK47, maybe--he's the uber-Pippen. I'd love to have Kirilenko on my team (we won't discuss his wife). But he's not the guy you want taking the last shot, or bringing you back from 20 down.

yeah but mr.scott
them very good it's the
coaching and the trust among
each other the blazers on
the other hand does'nt have
a floor leader like d.williams
a workhorse like c.boozer
a sweet shooting center like
okur and a defensive dynamo
like ak47 and a jack of all
trades 6th man like harpring
that's the difference if we
had all of those parts we'll
be 21-9 also instead we have
a young developing pg a sg
who shows promise no 3 a
ballhog at pwf and a overpaid
5 who's always hurt and when
healthy avgs 6pts-8rbs that's
just not cutting it that's
just a fact mr.scott.......
