December Jersey Contest: Game 4 Update

Last night was another jersey contest game and it was moving day for many folks.  Only one game left...the Jazz.  After that somebody will be the proud owner of a brand new Blazers jersey.

The game results were:

Blazers 100  Raptors 101
Scorer:  Travis Outlaw
Z-Bo Rebs:  7
JJ Asts:  3
Web's Pts: 4

A recap of the scoring system:
Give yourself 30 points if you picked Portland Toronto to win.
Give yourself 20 points if you picked Travis to be the leading (non-Zach) scorer.
You can get up to 50 bonus points using the following formula:

Figure the difference between your guesses and...
--The Blazer point total
--The L.A. point total
--Zach's rebounds (multiply difference by 2)
--Jarrett's assists (multiply difference by 2)
--Martell's points

Add up those differences and subtract that number from 50.  That's your bonus point total.

If you think I made a mistake or want to see exactly how I figured your score, just e-mail me.

Here's the scoreboard after Game 4.  The top score is your total points.  The number in parentheses is your score for this game.

hats off
to Luckyride and GimmeIme, the only two of us who had the cajones enough to guess that portland would beat utah.  I think GI deserves to win just for that (sorry LR, not enough points to pull it off).  And damn you Dr Dave for mathematically eliminating me!

You sure?
I haven't checked the final predictions but there's no way you can win on bonus points?  I guess your predictions would have to be far enough away from Dave's to create 20+ potential points if he picked the same leading scorer and game result as you.

By the way, don't kill the suspense of that last game entirely.  I, for one, like to go in thinking that a lot of people have a chance...

Scoring system
Hey Dave,
I haven't yet participated in the jersey contest, but did you not just copy and paste the scoring rules from the Laker victory?  I'm pretty sure if you picked the Blazers to win last night that you lost... unless you just get points for being a homer.
It wasn't the first time I'd been kicked in the cherries and called a rat by a woman, but it was the first time I didn't mind.

Yup
Forgot to change that.  Sorry.

Wow.
I am barely staving off last place. Here's hoping I can make a good run up the standings in that last game!

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
